This is the turning point guys

I think this is it. Our Defense just shut down an offense that has been playing good football with the #7 rated offense. Our secondary seems to be getting into sync and we are shutting down the run.

Now as BossChief has said all along Cassel sits game 6 and Quinn is going to give us that spark. What if Quinn pulls an Alex Smith. Zorn has been working with him right. Quinn hasn't started a game since 2009. Just what if he seizes his opportunity!!!! This is our chance for Cassel to land a permanent spot on the bench.

There is NO WAY we should have lost this game. Tha football Gods made Cassel fumble on the Goal line and the Football Gods gave him a concussion.

I think EVERYBODY from Pioli to Winston has got the message. This team just may come out angry and rally around Quinn.

This is the best I've felt about us all year. I've got that feeling we're done ****ing around. Watch out AFCW , here come the Chiefs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is what we have accomplished this year.

1. Matt Cassel is a bad QB, not a project, not a guy who is wronged by having 5 OC's in 5 years. The evidence speaks for it self, it's time to move on.

2. Romeo is not a good head coach. I never liked the idea of giving him the HC spot because it means we are going to lose a very good DC in the process. I like Romneo as a DC, but the current situation points to an entire new coaching staff in KC next season. Sorry Romeo.

3. Scott Pioli hasn't won shit and not accomplished anything in KC. It is a good thing that the grace period with Pioli is over, he now must perform. Unlike many of you, I think it would be a bad move to toss him out on his ass. Instead, use the the outside pressure to make him fight to prove his worth. The only way for Pioli to regain his golden touch is to hire an outstanding HC and draft a franchise QB. Hiring a new GM gives that guy another three years to get his staff and team in place. With the right HC and QB, KC has a window. Now is the time for Pioli to step up and perform, not pack his bags.

Brady Quinn: I'll be rooting for Quinn, but I don't think he's the answer. Even if he plays well I think the Chiefs must still draft a a QB in the 1st round.
As much as I HATE point # 3 - you're correct.

Pioli is damaged goods in the eyes of Kansas City fans. He's gone, Romeo's gone and his entire staff is gone after game 16. Clark won't do it before then. We have to hope Cleveland can win a few games.

The goal the rest of the way should be in this order:
(1) Don't get Jamaal injured
(2) "Suck for Geno"

Haha, let Pioli hire a THIRD head coach?

That's ridiculous.

Fire him, let the new GM sort out the ashes.

I'm torn - half of me wants to see Quinn come out and be the man. The other half wants to me burn down the organization and start from stratch.

I bet Pioli stays, is told by Clark to draft a QB regardless of how Quinn does, and hires a proven HC. Romeo and his staff are SO GONE.

Same here. I loved how the stadium actually started getting somewhat loud (at least it sounded like that on TV) when Quinn came in and I'd love to see what he can do with these receivers and RB's. Also, I love our defense and would hate to see them waste their primes.

On the other hand.. it almost seems like rooting for that is me saying I'm willing to sacrifice the future for short-term "success", whatever that may be. 8-8 isn't really a success.

By the time we draft and develope a QB Charles will be no longer and Bowe will be gone. Then we'll have wasted our chance at making a run. I'm still praying Brady proves everyone wrong.

A GM's job is not to be loved by the fans. So while I agree that Chiefs fans are unhappy with Pioli right now, you can't boot a GM every time the fans get grumpy. If that were the case Philly, Green Bay, Dallas, and NO would be looking for new GMs. Heck the Chiefs would need 6 different GMs to get through a 10-6 season.

I do agree that it seems stupid to let a GM hire a third HC in less than five years. However, Pioli's selection of coaches mirrors his selection of Cassel as our QB.

Here is why I give Pioli one last chance.

1. The Chiefs organization dragged its feet when Herm was fired. We didn't get into the coaching selection things till late. We landed the OC of a Super Bowl team. Not bad, but not ideal in my book.

2. KC wasn't all that attractive to HC candidates in 2009. This franchise is better from top to bottom. Now that Pioli has been here for a while and has things in place, the KC job is more attractive because I think a big name coach could look at our situation and say I could win there right away.

3. As I have said over and over again. The mistake Pioli made was firing Haley during the season. The players wanted Romeo. Romeo, a very good DC, wanted the job. Pioli gave in. That was a mistake. I could see it coming a hundred miles away, but I totally understand how and why it happened.

Looking ahead, Pioli can now start scouting HC. There are big name guys he can informally chat with during the season. Their are guys that he can target that are with other teams. Knowing that his ass is on the line, Pioli can prepare and make moves as soon as the season is over. This allows KC to get its man.

This team doesn't need rebuilt, it needs a leader as a HC. It also needs a QB. Fix those two things and this team is dynamic.

Pioli didn't give in. Seriously, you believe that? Pioli pegged Romeo from the start because he knew he would ever dissent.

KC will never get "its man" while Pioli is in charge because Pioli fancies himself "the man".

Forget it. No respectable coach is going to want to work with a guy that's consumed with being all-powerful.

You actually believe any credible head coaching candidate will come here and work with Pioli?

Dude. The ONLY REASON Romeo is the head coach is because he's the only turd who wants to swim in Pioli's shitter.

Pioli's ****ing done here.

I want to see it for myself. I want to see Quinn get a chance with this offense. He had no talent around him in Cleveland. Also, I'm absolutely sick of seeing Cassel waste everyone's time.

Cassel will be back. Quinn won't play well enough to create a QB controversy.
