Because of the age difference, even if it was consensual it would be considered rape.

Nope. Utah age of consent is 18, but 17 and 16 can consent with those within ten years of age....if I read it right.

Here's Utah's criminal code against "Object Rape":

76-5-402.2. Object rape.
(1) A person who, without the victim's consent, causes the penetration, however slight, of the genital or anal opening of another person who is 14 years of age or older, by any foreign object, substance, instrument, or device, including a part of the human body other than the mouth or genitals, with intent to cause substantial emotional or bodily pain to the victim or with the intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person, commits an offense which is a first degree felony

She could probably also be charged with sodomy:

76-5-403. Sodomy -- Forcible sodomy.
(1) A person commits sodomy when the actor engages in any sexual act with a person who is 14 years of age or older involving the genitals of one person and mouth or anus of another person, regardless of the sex of either participant.
(2) A person commits forcible sodomy when the actor commits sodomy upon another without the other's consent.

So, all of your options would work. And if the girl was 14 or younger (article says 17), it would be statutory rape.

Under the standard rape, they prohibit "sexual intercourse" without consent, but there's no definition of what sexual intercourse is, so I didn't include it.

Yeah, I think as per the below post that is pretty well defined. I guess rape is more of an umbrella term for the violation of the child.

It's a lot more broad these days. The law used to be that only males could rape, and there was no such thing as a husband legally raping his wife.

I have a feminist classmate whose really interested in international law and making sure that countries do not craft laws that make it so only males can be convicted of rape.

Thats odd, alot of the new age feminists seem to want those kind of laws to ONLY apply to males. Unless they are just the vocal ones.
