Just heard we're scouting Glennon tomorrow

On ESPN radio they were talking about Mike Glennon and how he could be a sleeper. They said a handfull of QB needy teams will be watching and that teams could pass one of the top 3 in favor of taking him later.

Saw this tweet about it too.

Chris Steuber ‏@ChrisSteuber
I'm told that scouts from the #Bills, #Buccaneers, #Chiefs, #Jaguars & #Seahawks will attend the #NCState, #Clemson game on Sat. #CFB #NFL

Well, if Pioli is here, I can definitely see some Star Leuteliebust in the first and this asshole in the 2nd.

Given that I think Barkley and Geno both carry more risk than a lot of QBs you'd take at the top, if I'm the Chiefs, I draft either Geno/Barkley and consider a 2nd QB... even earlier in the draft. Even if that means taking a QB in back-to-back picks.

We need to be going all-in this year for a QB. And it fulfills two important needs -- we get a starting QB and a backup.

If the pick is Pioli's, the scouting is moot.

if Pioli is still here to 'evaluate' and pick a QB, it's career suicide for him and Clark.

Clark, i think, more than Pioli. If retaining Pioli weren't enough, passing on a QB would prove once and for all this franchise does not 'get it'. Their super double-secret probation methods of doing things their own way because they think they can get to the SB in some other fashion (strong running game, excellent defense, 'game manager QB').

I can't imagine too many fans would be gung Ho if Pioli is here next year.

The idea that Glennon is a QB worth taking in the first round is preposterous to me. His stats are shaky, he has barely any starting experience, and he's jittery in the pocket. Plus he looks like a ****ing emu.

He's impressive to some people because when he makes a pretty pass, he makes a REALLY pretty pass. That's what dumb****s like Bucky Brooks on CBS Sportsline like about the dude.

He's got 3rd round developmental prospect written all over him, and that doesn't interest me at all.

Works for me enough said. I watch college football but I watch to see a good game not to watch who is a first round pick. I really don't have a college team so I just want to see a good game. But I do read the what the football gods on here post and try watch those games that you gods talk about.

we dont have a smart enough management team/owner to make decisions that "good for the franchise"

plus, weve already got our starting franchise qb on the team for next year, matthew "checkdown, cant play nfl qb for sh@t" Cassel

I have to doubt that a QB who can only complete 57% in college is going to be able to compete in the NFL.

It interests me a lot, as long as he's the second QB taken in the draft.

I'd rather spend that 2nd/3rd round pick on another player, sign Bruce Gradkowski in free agency, and keep Stanzi as the 3rd stringer.

From what I have seen from him today, he looks pretty good. Three TDs in the first quarter so far against Clemson (11th ranked team).
