The State of Kansas: Undefeated in Basketball

is 6-0
is 6-0
The Shuckers are 5-0

Pretty cool. has a very good chance of ending up undefeated in non-conference play.

I bet they didn't see THAT coming

Wichita State is a better team than KSU and has a higher RPI right now - 36th I think. Also, NO way does KSU get to the tourney - UNLESS they somehow manage to win the Big 12 tourney - which ain't gonna happen. WSU on the other hand, I'm calling it right now, WILL make the dance and will win at least one game once they get there. THey are going to have a VERY GOOD year. So far, the whole MVC has had a great season - Creighton, NI, SIU and WSU all have a chance to make the tourney - which will it be???

Another reason I dislike Shuckers...^^^

WSU fans always say they have a better team than KSU. Too bad they can't prove that when it comes to game time. Scoreboard, biatch.

All the Shucker fans said they would make the tourney last year too...whoops, yeah, you made the NIT and lost. Good job.

Finally, I have to hear how good the MVC is every year. Whens the last time an MVC team made the Final four? Face it, the MVC is the farm conference for the Big XII. We might trade you SIU for Baylor one day, but until then you are just a bunch of scrubs.

WSU is kicking butt right now. KSU sucks! KU is over rated!

Wow that felt good...it's been a long time since all three Kansas schools could throw basketball smack at each other!

Shockers ? They haven't had a quality team since the days of Drieling,Livingston,Carr and Sherrod, what was it, 1981 or 82 ? If Drieling would have played to his potential, they could have been Final Four that year.

Don't get me wrong, they have had good teams, but that one was a talented group.

Actually they were a decent team during the mid and late eighties too.
Xavier McDaniel was their best player during that time period.
Mark Turgeon may have finally got them turned around.

The eighties were a fun time to be a college basketball fan in Kansas.
WSU, KSU and KU were all near the same level of competitiveness and one year they all three were in the NCAA tournament.
Oh yes, I remember now. Wichita State beat KU.

I know, that sucked, A Darnell Valentine team fell ... What a SHOCKER that was.

Xman was good, too bad he came along after the deep tourney run Livingston and Carr made.

Turgeon is going to be a very good coach some day.

X arrived Fall of '81. WSU beat KU @ The Battle of New Orleans in Spring '80 IIRC. The only other time I recall the Shocks beating KU was in '86 and Manning was hurt that game.

Oh, im so stoked about being 6-0..just had to post this:

CASPER, Wyo. - Reggie Miller. Tracy McGrady. Fred Peete?

Peete stole an inbound pass, then scored eight points in the last 41 seconds, including a spinning layup with one second left to lift Kansas State to a 64-61 come-from-behind victory over Wyoming Saturday night in the Wyoming Shootout.

I thought there were even two years back in the 80s when all three teams made the Sweet 16....
