I'm still drunk

...from the St. Patty's party last night. I drank two Killians, three pitchers of green Miller Lite and a large shot of Jameson's. There are many holes in the night and my legs feel like they weigh 200 pounds each.

But at least I'm still buzzing...

How's everyone else feeling this morning?

Somebody please tell me I'm not the only one who considers that a night of pretty light drinking. A few beers and one shot is pretty much a normal happy hour,no?
I could care less how much or how little someone drinks; it's certainly no measure of who you are but am I alone in thinking that's not near enough to cause a hangover?
Did you see the THREE PITCHERS part? All mine. And I don't have a hangover.

Yeah I did. That's what I mean, it doesn't strike me as a lot. Not trying to offend you, just shocked that three pitchers and a shot counts as a heavy day of drinking, especially on St. Pat's.
That is pretty much an early day warm-up before you shift gear into whiskey mode. Especially three pitchers of that water you call Miller Lite.

It's certainly more than I usually drink these days (having a new kid and all), but it's definitely not blackout drunk quantities. Depends on how fast you drink it too, though. When my wife and I were going out a lot (pre child), that was a pretty standard night though, yeah. Starting at happy hour and going into the wee hours, I'd usually do about 12 beers and at least 3-4 mixed drinks/shots over the course of the night.

You are a lucky dog to be living in God's country. Go hit the Bluebird Theatre, El Chipoltapec, Pete's Kitchen,Wash Park Grille, and the Cherry Cricket for me, would ya?
I lived on Quebec street off of Colfax for two years while I was going to school, then in Evergreen for a while. The hangover medicine always worked for me but metabolisms can differ.

It just so happens that my buddy has a birthday on this holiday of holidays. A couple of us guys took off to the casino that is a half hour north of town. Started off with a half-case and finished it by the time we got to the res. High-pos all over the place as it was announced several times through local media that the cops would be out full force.

We got to the casino as it began to snow very lightly. Drank four or five free green beers at the blackjack table during the hour we were there. Won some money and headed back home.

We went to our favorite pub that was absolutely packed with people. Started ordering Irish car bombs and straight Guinness as fast as the waitress could bring em.

I drove home in about six inches of drifting snow, and apparently the bad weather scared the cops from their sobriety checkpoints because I didn't see any law enforcement.

I woke up this morning with a green wig and beads on that I don't really remember picking up. I've got the day off and feel great today. I plan to go out tonight and get plowed again.

OK, thanks for the sanity check. That sounds just about right. I hear ya' on the new baby ( we have three little boys) thing putting a slow-down in the giddy-up.

What is all the fuss about? I feel fine today.

I'm glad someone mentioned mind erasers. I was trying to remember the drink I had the night I experienced the closing thing to driving home drunk.

Never would have imagined I'd basically be called a light weight for only drinking 3 pitchers, two bottles and a shot in about three hours time. I'll try harder to ferment my liver more quickly next time so I can hang longer in the biggest dick contest.

El Chapultepec- one of my faves. Pete's Kitchen at 2AM is your hangover cure right there- fantabulous food, and Cherry Cricket has damn near the best bar food around- and cheap!

Nice selections there, bro!

Speaking of theaters- I'll be at The Gothic Theater tonight checking out an awesome band, Donna the Buffalo- some of the best jamgrass around.

This morning? Fine.

Sunday morning, After the St. Patty's parade on Saturday? Different story.

Started at 10 am, 3 bottles of Guinness, and 3 shots of Jaeger along with Irish breakfast.
Scooted our cooler down to the parade route. 10 Bud Lites and a lovely glass of Jaeger and Red Bull, while the armless dancers pranced by.
Off to McGurks, 3 Pints of Guiness, 2 shots of single malt, and a strong-ass rum and coke [that was the killer, 12 oz glass, w/3 oz ice, 3 oz coke, and 6 oz Jack, no joke].
Then there was the vodka 'nightcap' to overcome the red bull and the excitement of the day.

In the immortal words of Riggs "I'm gettin' too old for this shit."
