As of today, AustinChief is no longer sole proprietor of ChiefsPlanet.com. No, it hasn't been sold to WHB. This isn't a lame April Fool's joke.

I made him an offer he couldn't refuse. He and I are now 50/50 partners. We have big plans for this year and beyond. If you thought the last 5 years have been pretty cool, you haven't seen nutten yet.

I'm pretty excited about it. Hopefully you are, too.

Is the one of the changes going to be the sanctioning of posting offensive images from rotten.com? Because I have been surfing that sight, and boy howdy have I found some whoppers.

That's a good question. The plans are to make ChiefsPlanet 2 databases. The archives will be closed, but searchable. They'll also perform poorly, kinda like the board does now. The new, improved database will contain the last year's posts plus the Hall of Classics. This change will take place before the new football season.

That's a good question, too. It's something we've talked about. I'm a little apprehensive how we would determine who our reporters would be. Obviously, that privelage will be highly sought after. We'd like to have quality people and writers representing out of the gate, but there may be some trial and error. That's all I'm willing to say right now.
