Fantasy Gambling Challenge Week 1

I have the Week 1 of the gambling challenge ready to go except for the money lines. Big Daddy, I used the site you recommended (www.sportsbook.com), but they didn't have the money lines listed. Anyway, the spreads and the over/under lines are ready so you can start making your bets.

As a reminder, here are the rules for this competition:

1. You are given 10k to start out and can bet up to 5k on any one bet. There is a $500 minimum bet unless you have less than that in which case you would be all in.
2. Payouts are at 90% unless otherwise stated. –170 would mean you have to bet $170 to win $100. +250 would mean you would get a $250 payout on every $100 bet.
3. You must bet at least once every 3 weeks or you are eliminated. If you cannot commit to participating at least this much please let us know now so somebody else can take your place.
4. Contingency bets are allowed.
5. There are no parlays
6. All bets must be placed before the start of the game.
7. You can also change your original bet as long as that game has not kicked off yet, BUT DO NOT EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL POST. If you wish to change your bet, create a new post stating what your original bet was and what you want to change it to. Any other method will not be allowed and the original bet will stand!

I have created a web site to post all the weekly odds and track the leaders.

http://ramdarts.org/gambling/

Go here to see the odds and then post your bets in this thread. Once the money line bets are posted I will update the site and then you can make those bets too.

Good luck and have fun!!

Could a Mod put the link to the gambling forum back up on the main page and then move this thread in there? Thanks...

Actually I thought you were kidding about that first bet.

The rules state a $5000 maximum on any single bet. You can bet $5G on the spread and another $5G on the over/under if you like.

Please do not delete or edit posts containing bets!

If you have placed a wager and want to cancel or change it, please quote the original bet and tell what you want to change it to> This is very important to the integrity of the game!

rulebreakers should be banned from the contest which would allow more honest players a spot

BTW go with the initial odds when you can it's easier. You will probably see more money lines as the weeks pass. The first week is different and it's up to you but I usually post the odds on Wednesday due to injuries.

We need to confirm whether Russ is going to play or not seeing as the interest is so high this year. There are also some people on there I don't recognize at all. Maybe we should send out an PM to confirm on people we are not sure of and if they don't play or respond by the end of the first week we will let those people that want in take their place but there will be no getting in after that. What do you think?

most books post the odds first and then moneylines become available later in the week. There should be some posted here later in the day or tomorrow:

Good idea on the injuries. I hadn't though of that. I'll do it on Wednesdays from now on.

Sounds good to me. We should have probably set a minimum post requirement to join. BTW, this is really your baby, I'm just administering it. So if you want to drop a player to let another in, let me know.

Quoting myself, but yes I would like a spot if one opens up. I would have signed up initially but I didn't know how how the game was gonna be run so I didn't make an ass outself.

I'd also like to point out that I was the first to request a spot as a replacement

Allright, I'll just go 5k on the Raider loss.

And sorry about the delete thing. Won't happen again.
