1500 yards for LJ this year?

I believe he may pull it off. Considering his limited action the first 7 games that is really impressive.

Hell yeah, I like LJ.

I do tend to dwell on the people I don't like, but I have talked about players glowingly in the past.

Willie Roaf
Will Shields
Brian Waters
John Wellborne
Jared Allen
Eric Warfield

Hell, I even started a thread about Kawika on Sunday that was nuthin' but positive.

You nailed it. Attitude aside, LJ's problem was his lack of patience. I actually rewound that TD run because I could not believe the patience he showed. Priest is awesome because of his patience and vision. If LJ can achieve the same patience he showed Sunday, then yes he will be better for the team because of his speed, size and agression. He has come a loong way. He has proven he can run but, I would like to see more of his pass catching ability in the coming weeks...Thank CP or divine intervention, but I am sure glad the Chiefs drafted him...

'Zactly! Brings tears of joy to this D homer's eyes.

Back to LJ's patience on that TD run; maybe he's finally trusting the O-line's downfield blocking. Not to take anything away from LJ, but the disciplined, synchronized blocking on that sweep, against the Donk's fast D, was a clinic.

LJ will get 1500 I believe, but 2000 total yards is probably out of reach. Next year however...

I was really impressed with LJ vs. Denver. After the 1st qtr, they were really pressing the gaps on D, and were successful. Then I started noticing LJ specifically looking for the cutbacks, and being patient to watch the defensive pursuit develop. The TD run was a thing of beauty, the O-Line just kept workin all the way, TRich was out front lookin for a body, and LJ was very very patient. That 30 yard run on his cutback also is exactly what we've been looking for from LJ. I am 100% convinced, LJ is the real deal!!

12/11/05 post Dallas Update

LJ now has 1253 yards with 3 games to go.

Needs to average 83 yards per game for the last 3

I believe he has a good shot

If he could've started the season as the starter, he'd be chasing 2000+...
