I agree I would of cut him after the last game. Am I supposed to believe J.P Howell is worse than Mays?

Sorry. I wasn't trying to point out your error in the first Mays reference. Just made me wish we still had Darryl. How sad is that?

What did the Royals think they had in Mays, the last 2 years in 20+ starts he had a 6.30 era and a 5.65 era. He is making Jose Lima look like Pedro.

At this point I blame Baird squarely. I think Glass gives Baird free reign over who comes in within budget. I just don't think Baird knows how to put a team together. Bell can only work with that he is given. Not to let him off the hook either though.

Whoever the f*** he is....
He was actually a good pitcher in the Angels bullpen, and of course the Angels always have one of the top bullpens in the league. A lot of people were surprised they let him go.

Joe Mays is making Lima Time look like Clemens time though. He just doesn't have it. We shouldn't have a hard time getting him to clear waivers, we gotta get somebody in there better than this.

Sure he has free reign. He's the GM. But what type of talent can you bring in with a budget like that?

Mays is throwing strikes, those ones just get out of the ballpark about 420ft.

Well that's encouraging. Too bad he'll never pitch with the lead.

Meinke is a good bench player, they should just bring huber up and put minke in late for defense imo.

How does Minnesota and Cleveland do it? Oakland? We are relatively close to them in $'s and really I think Glass would up the $'s if the guys we brought in panned out.

We bring guys in...Glas pays them...the guys go bust....Glass loses interest in spending more money
