You don't install using the mainapp.exe file. You install it with the full torrent file that you've downloaded. The mainapp.exe file is useless unless the entire installation has already been completed.

So the .exe from Mecca's post was simply the crack....I still need to download the full torrent from GoChief's link....correct? I've got this visual image of myself as a horse, and DaFace patiently splashing water into my mouth.....

Haha...you are correct. If you haven't already downloaded it, here's the step by step version.

1. Download the entire torrent from GoChiefs link.
2. UnRAR the resulting files (Just right-click on any of the .r00 type files and go to extract. It'll get them all.).
3. Either burn the resulting ISO file to a DVD, mount it up using Daemon tools, or right-click on it to extract the files one more time.
4. If you just extract the files, go into the resulting folder and open up "AutoRun.exe" to get you started on the installation process. You'll need the key generator inside the "crack" folder to generate a serial number.
5. Once the ENTIRE installation is done, copy the "mainapp.exe" file into C:\Program Files\EA Sports\Madden NFL 07\
6. Enjoy!

Hope that helps. I'm off for a while.

2K5 is still the better game. Man this was choppy as hell even on low settings.

Choppy on the PC? You should see it on the 360 where they know the hardware specs that the software will be running on. It's so #%$#% annoying.

Aside from that I had a 30-29 game last night that I won on a 38 yard field goal as time expired. That was crazy fun.

After playing this for a while having owned 2005 and never played 2006, I think it's safe to make this comparison:

EA Sports is like an antivirus company (think Norton/McAfee). The product itself isn't changed much from year to year, but they make a fortune on providing "updates" that do nothing but help to make the program reflect the current state of the world.

I'd have no desire whatsoever to own Madden 07 if I could make 05's roster reflect those who will be on the field this year.

If it's choppy on a PC, it's probably due to either processor or video card - not the game itself.

I'm guessing it's your video card. Anyway, the game isn't inherently choppy.
