First off, this was just a hypothetical thread.

Secondly, LJ would have started for Green Bay, NY Giants, Tampa Bay, the Titans, the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks this year. The only playoff teams he wouldn't have started for this year were San Diego and possibly, the Patriots (who basically use RBBC).

So PLEASE, stop with the BS.

More goes into it than just that, plus he's coming off being injured, huge workload, big contract, and he wasn't all that great this past year when he played...

This is what I'll say just off the top of my head..if we're gonna play this as Johnson has only slightly declined since 2-3 years ago...

The 2 you mentioned..
Steven Jackson
I suspect the Bills would stick with the cheaper young Lynch
I don't think the Pats would take him but that doesn't mean he's not on par with Maroney or even better.

I mean I can go through a lot of these teams but a bunch of them use 2 guys or have cheap guys....I don't see him starting for nearly every team. I'd wager it's closer to half and half.

Really so you don't think the Cowboys are happy using Barber..and even if people hate Portis he's a more complete player than LJ is...he would play for the other teams though.

Oh yeah, I forgot, LJ carried over 400 times in one season. His career is over. If he had not carried so many times his ankle would not have got rolled over and injured. Mecca genius at its best.

Dude, come on.

If the Cowboys had a healthy LJ this year, they'd be in the Super Bowl.

Barber's a backup - Jones is the starter. Neither player bring what LJ brings. Not even close.

If Green Bay had a healthy LJ, they'd be in the Super Bowl this year.

The man is a great running back.

Marion Barber started the playoff game for the simple reason he's better....they'll likely draft another back to split with Barber....which is smart.

And if LJ is so damn good why is it everyone wishes we traded him now?

Yep.

I fully expect and counting on a really pissed off and hungry LJ next year. If you thought he ran mad before wait until this season

Forget who the other teams have. You did not qualify your statement that way. LJ would have started in SD, Dallas, NE, Indy. Anywhere in the league. Nobody said he was better than LT, Peterson, Barber or anyone else. If he was on any team, for example SD, and they did not have LT, are you saying that LJ would not start? You also threw up his contract. Irrelevant. It was not stated that we were trying to trade him. You mentioned his age. BS. He has started 36 games in five seasons. He is not close to worn out. try again.

Yea we'll see he got paid, age generally isn't good for his position either.

This league is going more to having the good stable of RB's above having 1 dominant back.

Good spin you get an A.

I also like how the carry history totally goes over peoples heads at times. Once again like I said if he is so damn great, why is it everyone went from before the year wanting to pay him to a couple months go saying we made a mistake?

Alexander has started nearly 100 games in eight seasons. He has ALOT more wear and tear than LJ.

I am not saying it is a good thing but IMO LJ needs to have something or someone to be pissed off at to be motivated and I think he will have plenty of motivation going into the season.

Are you joking? Are you trying to lead people on?

Who is "everyone"? A bunch of white people in KC that feel like LJ is too "black" for their community? Or real NFL people?

As far as Dallas is concerned, now that Parcells and his people are gone (4 coaches and Jeff Ireland), I fully expect the Cowboys to go back to sucking, just like they did under Dave Campo.
