The thing that sucks is that it will look like that only long enough to take photos.
I caught the detailing bug after hanging out on Autopia. The first year I owned my Silverado, I was totally OCD about it. However, the fact that I would spend all weekend on it, only to have it look like every other car on the road the first time I drove it (very dusty here), wore me down. Now I haven't washed it in two years. |

Screw that, if I had a Ferrari I would pay someone to wash it like that.

The clay bar is really one of the main parts of the restoration.
They don't sell them at your local store. Should sell them everywhere. |

That's nuts, but moving the driver's position is a bit much.

That was my thought. The guy obviously takes his work very serious. If he gets this information in the right hands, he probably gets lots of work.

Maybe not where you are, but up here you can get a clay bar and kit at almost any car part store. I use them on my car all the time, and I get them from Advance Auto Parts.

What exactly does a clay bar do for a car's paint/finish? I saw him rubbing it on, but didn't quite understand what it was doing or the process he was using.

My vehicles get washed whenever mother nature decides to wash em. I am sure glad I dont get off on a clean car like this guy. I wouldn't have the time to do all the stuff that gets my truck so dirty.
