Trade picks with Cincy

Its all over the Cincy board that the upper management for the Bengals want Glenn Dorsey real bad and we would get their first round pick and a 4th round pick.

I say lets do it. We can still get Ryan Clady.

Yep, would definitely take more than a 4th. Especially since Cincy got 4 compensatory picks so it's not like they are hurting for picks. Hell, for us giving up the opportunity to get Dorsey if he was there I would expect a 2nd out of them.

Of course, I don't think Dorsey will be there though. I could still see them trading up for Ellis who in which case I would be happy for a 3rd in return.

Why in God's name would we give up the opportunity to draft Sedrick Ellis for a lousy 3rd round pick?

I doubt dorsey will be there for the chiefs at 5. A swap of 1sts and giving a 4th is not enough as posted earlier

I doubt they would give up a first and second round pick to move up to take him which is what would have to happen

The Chiefs would never trade down 4 spots and only get the 9th and an R4 in return. It's April 1.

I'm not opposed to drafting Dorsey.
That would make this Defensive Line scary good, but I'm more concerned with the Offensive Line right now.

Well, that's funny, 'cause a couple of weeks ago, there was an article about Cincy wanting to trade up to KC for Vernon Gholston and how Cincy was profoundly enamored by Gholston, not Dorsey.

Why would we trade 1700 points for 1525 points?!

It's almost comical at this point how many trade out of a spot to draft an elite player ideas have been floated around.

Dorsey at #5. Tell Cinci to go forth and procreate. End of thread.

Dorsey > most packages of trading down.

Their first and second could be a different story ... if the Chiefs didn't fugg up the two picks (i.e. Ryan Clady and some scrub in RD2).

If this was a deep draft, I could see the argument made for doing it for their second rounder, but given that there are 5-6 elite players and then a huge drop off, our pick is worth more than its alloted point total this year.

If Dorsey, Ellis, Long and Long were gone I'd consider trading down. If I got a good deal I'd do it in this scenario. But you have Ryan, McFadden, and Gholston who could be picked in the top four and knock one of those guys down, so this is unlikely.
