That could work too, but youll need to be familiar with the local laws regulating that sort of thing, and make sure your homeowners insurance covers it. (maybe even get an umbrella policy as well).
For some reason, when some mom's kid gets hurt in your home, regardless of fault or lack of negligence they get a bit touchy about that sort of thing.

I don't have any information on it, but I know my Mom used to do legal transcription . She would go to the firm every morning and pick up a bunch of these packets. Then she would come home, and at her leisure she would type up everything. She's not very good with computers, so the work must not have been that intense. I know she's a very fast typer, and she had to get one of those little cassette tape players with the foot pedal. Other than that, she liked it a lot. I think she got paid per packet. I'm not sure how she got the job, but maybe your wife could look for something like that.

Is she a good cook?
I know a lady that does pretty well baking cookies for events/parties, I think does some wedding cakes and makes cassaroles you can pick up, take home and throw in the oven....and is doing alright from what I can tell. Not really catering, but with the hussle-bustle and people who still want decent home-made food for their families....there is a market. |

She could probably make decent cash cleaning houses a few hours each day. A lot of people will pay good money to dust and scrub the dumper/shower once a week.

This type of thinking (above) will keep you poor. I haven't checked out the TV ads, so I don't know what they're offerring, but there are many great Home Office Business Opportunities out there (and yes, like any business, you'll have to put some money into it). Just make sure to use common sense (or maybe uncommon sense) and find something that has residual income potential (otherwise you've just bought yourself a job that pays little and comes with big headaches - like daycare). The tax benefits from officing at home with your own business (not a job) will probably save you several thousand dollars a year on your taxes also - maybe more. 70% of the members of Congress own a home based business ~ they know the tax laws as well as anyone and this should be a big hint . It sounds to me though, that you're looking for a job with salery, etc. ~ just understand that they come with no tax benefits, small income, and not even the false security of building a relationship with a boss. If you're going to work from home I'd encourage anyone to check out a good home based business. Start talking around and you'll find that many of your friends and co-workers can steer you to some. Also, you can go to www.dsa.org and click on Member Directory (when it asks you for Single Level or Multi Level take Multi Level if you want residual income potential). Let me give you a candid warning however... if you're just wanting to make a few hundred bucks a month you can probably do that with about any opportunity by just playing around with it, but if you're looking to make serious full-time income, it takes a burning desire and a willingness to be coachable. I don't care how bad you want these things for your family, if she doesn't feel this way it probably won't work. Eight thousand people a day start a home based business in the US ~ the successful ones are highly motivated to succeed. Luz hope this helps... |
