Chiefs Agree to Terms with T Barry Richardson

Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to terms of a three-year contract with T Barry Richardson. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available. Richardson is third Chiefs draft choice to agree to contract terms, joining fourth-round selection WR Will Franklin (105th overall) and fifth-round selection CB Brandon Carr (140th overall).

Richardson (6-6, 319) joined the Chiefs as the club’s first of two sixth-round picks (170th overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft. He played in 49 games (45 starts) during his four-year career at Clemson. Richardson started every game over his final three seasons for the Tigers, earning first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in 2006 and 2007.

As a senior, he anchored an offensive line that led the ACC in scoring at 33.1 points per game and finished second in the ACC with 403.2 yards of total offense per contest. The Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina native was a three-year starter on the offensive line at Wando High School.

Sure he played over his head in 2000, but I don't think that means he was a bum otherwise. He just may not have been productive enough to own a starting job. But as a #3 DE he wasn't that bad.

With what we have right now for DE's, Hicks will be a fond memory after this season is over.

If you're detecting a lack of surprise in my tone, congratulations on being perceptive. I already looked at the 70s Steelers as doing for steroids what the Bill Walsh 49ers did for the west coast offense. The 'roids were legal then, no one was testing for it, and there's no way the Steelers were the only ones. At the time, no one knew any better.

He did NOT use anabolic steroids. He said what he took was a type of steroid to help him heal. It was not anabolic steroids meant to make him bigger or stronger.

Mr. always bite on the boot leg..........yes, you are the only person who thinks Hicks should be on this team, even as a bit player....where is he now?

So...on another completley random note, LJ was at Harrah's last night playin 2-5. I've never seen him up close like that. He wasn't as big as I thought he was but he was real cool and laid back, didn't say but a few words. Everybody kept talkin about him tho
