Just looking around thinking of great promotions and was wondering what other radio stations in other cities are up to.

I do a couple of things--Carlota's box Lunch ( Lunch req hour), Beat the Cock,(trivia timed game), mental Speedbump (No brainfart game) etc...

Also, I have in the past, ran around with a tip jar becasue eveyone thinks they should get a tip for simply doing their now. So hell, why not me? I gave the tips to charity, BTW. Thinking of a "dont be a gashole" promotion. We do poker tournaments, Rock and Roll bingo, Asphault Chef (its hot here!), etc....

Was wondering what fun radio promotion have you heard of or participated in?

OK, I got one--

A Hot as Balls Weekend!!!!

Listeners win tickets to the local baseball game, a family pack of hot dogs (Nathans or whatever) and a fresh clean baseball, just in case you catch foul balls at the game (which is easy to do in this heat).

I came up with this and now it looks like we are gonig to do it maybe this weekend or next. Looking for a Grand Prize at the moment--maybe a trip to LA to escape to Vegas heat and tix to the Dodgers? something like that....

one time this radio station was giving away a wii, and they made people drink water but they couldn't "wee" or they were out. and then one of them died. but she still didn't win. that's all i have to say about that.
