How can BC get beat up this bad already?

Two practice games and he's getting burned at the stake? He has 6 starts and yes they were all loses but it's common knowledge that the whole offense was awful. He was not great last night but he's out of the game before he gets a chance to bounce back.

You gotta give a young QB at least a season for that matter most of them get 3 before they are dubbed to be terrible. BC has had only 6 actual starts.

Cut the kid a break.

Everyone here knows in their hearts that Croyle has all the tools but can't stay healthy or put it all together. How many games has he won as a starter?

Completely irrelevant at this point and time. If he were 2-4 instead of 0-6, would it really matter RIGHT NOW? It's about development and getting the new offense going ... Last year's 0-6 doesn't mean anything more than him getting experience.

Same number as that 600lb QB you trot out there this fall...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I've said it before, but Croyle has disaster written all over him. Clearly, he isn't willing to take a massive hit to the face by a 250 pound defensive end without getting rid of the football first. That's inexcusable. Also, he has thrown incomplete passes. No quarterback will ever make it in this league by throwing incomplete passes. Especially overthrows. And especially overthrows to a receiver who's new to the team. How does he expect these new receivers to get any better if he doesn't throw the ball right to them. I don't see what Herm is waiting for. The sooner Croyle goes, the sooner we can move on to a real quarterback like Fa-Va-Rah or Roger Staubach or Johnny Unitas or Bart Starr.

This is why the Chiefs have never developed a QB.

Developing quarterbacks is vastly overrated, Ms. luv. You spend all this time and money and draft picks to find a guy. Then, what do you have? An incomplete pass thrower. That's what. And a chicken. An incomplete pass thrower and a chicken who throws the ball away instead of taking the sack and the elbow shot to the eye socket like a real man. And an overthrower. An incomplete pass thrower and a chicken and a guy who overthrows another guy just because the offensive line hasn't blocked a few guys. What's that about? Just because a few measly defensive tackles are running free into the pocket and sticking their hands in your face doesn't mean you can just overthrow a guy. It's disrespectful to the game. No. We'd be better off with a quarterback who knows how to play real football on day one.

Of those QB's listed, Cutler and Roethlisberger are the only ones who will do sh*t in this league.

I haven't had a chance to really watch the game yet, the internet feed was so choppy I didn't really get a good look.

But, how is it that Brodie did so bad? I didn't see any INTs in his stats, it sounds like instead of throwing downfield he was throwing underneath - taking what was given to him instead of forcing it. The only think I see in his stat line is he was just over 50% on passing. A few of those incompletes came because no one was able to get open and he threw the ball away to keep from doing something bad and a couple of others hit recievers in the hands but not caught. Personally, I'd rather he throw it away than to force the ball into double and triple coverage.

He did take the team downfield on a 10 play scoring drive to start the game. He didn't turn the ball over, he was something like 6 of 8 passing in the first quarter. I don't get it, what was so terrible about the way he played?

Mr Fax, would you stand still and let a 250 pound defensive end run at top speed towards you and hit you in the face?

I weigh more than that DE, but I'm not going to let him hit me if I can avoid him.

He didn't play like he was drafted in the 1st round, and he didn't play like a 14 year vet, so naturally a good deal of CP hated his performance.
