What does everyone think of supporter powers?

To add some background supporters pay $10 a month and they get the ability to issue infractions or warnings and if the person gets enough of infractions he gets temp ban for a day or 2.

Some of the people in DC are upset that shtsprayer got temp banned because of some comments he made and believe that supporter powers are too strong.

On the flip side DaFace made a good point yesterday that if it wasn't for the few of us supporters Malboro Chief would have posted a ton of porn yesterday but we were able to ban him almost immediately.

So what does everyone think? Good idea, bad idea?

Many of us have donated over the years, but not under those terms.

Personally, I think its a decent concept to allow others to as a group, moderate indecent behavior, however I don't like the idea of a (not all of you) douchebag buying that kind of power. A couple of you are pretty cocky about it.

Personally, I'd rather see the infraction stick handed to mod selected long tenured members.

Iowanian,

I don't donate just so I can have the powers, I donated to donate and later found out that we had the ability to give out warnings for bad posts.

As far as being cocky about it, its human nature to flex your muscles sometimes, everyone does...even you.
