I am having my all-time college-pro football season, too bad it will end this wknd.

Eight weeks into it and both my college and pro team are undefeated.
Iowa Hawkeyes=8-0
Denver Broncos=6-0

The Hawks just lost our starting RB for the 2nd time this season. Don't know if even Ferentz can figure out a way around this one. I'm really worried about the Indiana game this weekend.

Broncos coming off the bye and into the teeth of what many call the most difficult NFL schedule. Nobody expects to go undefeated in the NFL but right now I'm pleased with the team's direction.

Whatever happens it has been a hell of a football season so far.

Sheeeeyit.
I've been following Iowa football since the '70s. My first game at Kinnick when I was a wee lad I was when we had coach Bob Cummings and his 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust offense.
I've been an Iowa basketball fan for the same length of time. I remember shooting hoops behind the bleachers in the old Field House when Lute Olson was ringing up wins for the Hawks.
I remember watching Dan Gable define and dominate college wrestling. I saw him when he still had hair.

One thing I've learned through painful repetition: nothing is ever sure with the Hawks. They win games they should lose and lose games they should win.
Add to that the fact we lost our starting RB for the 2nd time this year and yes, I am most definetely worried about Indiana.

I have never been more wrong about a team than I have been about the Broncos this season. I keep hoping they trip up...because right now, I am questioning everything I thought I knew about football.

Anyways, congrats. I would say good luck.... but I don't want to lie.

Yeah, I was actually looking at the Broncos schedule yesterday. Mirror opposite of the Chiefs. Ours gets easier. Yours gets real tough. 1st L coming this weekend vs. Ravens.

Yes you are completely correct about the schedules for both our teams. I find it funny how the mantra has been this (not singling you out Mahi):

1st loss coming against Dallas.
OK, well 1st loss coming against New England for sure.
OK but 1st loss coming at San Diego no question.
Right well no way in HELL they beat the Ravens.

Sooner or later the doom-sayers will get it right and Denver will lose a game.

Won't they?

I'm not butt hurt, but your attempt at 'reverse-mojo' is weak.

Reverse mojo only works w/ Chiefs fans, on here. Well, usually. This yr. nothing is working.

Thank you, it's alot of research, but what people don't realize is if you just look at their splits and geting some inside information you CAN win your leagues. People who say it's all luck are reeruned.

No doubt, I've been in the same league for 14 years now. Anyone who thinks they can just draft in the order CBS Sportsline tells you to is not going to go too far.
I have to say I did not see Sydney Rice coming along this well this year; it's a nice pickup. Favre has done better than I thought he would so far.

*edit* doh!

My wife's grandfather was the head football coach at Iowa for three years. Here's how long ago it was, he won the state high school championship at Waterloo East and got hired straight in as the Head Coach. They also only played 6 games a year.
Go Hawks!
