***OFFICIAL Walterfootball.com Mock Draft Thread***

He updates his mock draft like once a week.....so I'll just post them when I see them.

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2011.php

#23 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh

A list of players who have lined up across from Dwayne Bowe this season: Chris Chambers, Terrance Copper and Verran Tucker. Bleh.

Jonathan Baldwin has struggled this year amid quarterbacking issues, but he's still a physical freak at 6-5, 230.
Quote:
#54 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB, Pittsburgh

The Chiefs have only one reliable pass-rusher. Adding a solid complement across from Tamba Hali would take Kansas City's defense to the next level.
Quote:
#87 - Kansas City Chiefs: Christian Ballard, DE/DT, Iowa

The Chiefs could use some help up front; they've struggled against the run lately after a great start to the season in that department.

The problem with mocks is the potential of free agency. Say we sign Fitzgerald, then what? Move NT up to the second round, then center in the third? I like Thomas in the fourth. He could definitely take over the Thomas Jones role, if need be.

Damn solid draft if that would happen.
nice...need to make a FA move for some OL help and a Vet WR, and then we're in decent shape

and of course there is a 93% chance outside of the first round that we draft players no one had ever thought about...

I'd be willing to give 10000000 to 1 odds on this draft as a prop bet

I'm curious if Daniel Thomas is to the NFL what North Carolina starting pitchers are to MLB. Snyder just beat the piss out of him.

That's all RBs, really. Chew them up, spit them out, rinse and repeat. I liked re-signing Charles because the contract was so favorable, but I wouldn't be against moving him if we drafted a RB that looked like he could carry the load nearly as well.

Bowe is a top 10 WR. If this guy is Bowe II, you take him in a heartbeat.

I don't think that most college RBs are used to the extent that Thomas was last year for KSU, but I could be wrong.

I don't think Powe will be there at 3 and I hate the 4th pick. His 4th is based on his belief of the Chiefs possibly dumping Jones, I dont see that happening. If it does we'll probably pick up a FA RB.

I can't believe anyone takes walterfootball seriously on this forum. Isn't he still claiming Berry is a bust? If not, I know he still was deep into the season.

His draft "analysis" is just regurgitated from every other crappy pundit out there. Once one of them got the idea that we should draft and LT last year and move Albert to guard, the pundit echo-chamber all latched onto it within a week.

If the Chiefs could start with Houston and then Hankerson that would be huge but I think Powe will be gone. I would like to see another Safety added at some point because I don't need to see McGraw on the field for anything but special teams.

Walter over and over again stated he felt Berry was the best player in the 2010 draft. What are you talking about? He disagreed with the idea of taking TJ one year, if we were going BPA the next year (Berry) without addressing the rest of the line.

They aren't. There's no doubt that Snyder used him a ton. My point is that you shouldn't worry about a RB having a short career. Use them while they last and toss them into the scrap heap. If you look at the great teams of the last decade or so, they don't tend to be teams with superstar RBs. This is especially true of the teams in the last several Super Bowls.

Ok well after much googling, I may have been getting him mixed up with Fatlock on the EB = average, or bust stuff. But I still completely disagree with the pundit-groupthink idea that we needed to move Albert to guard and draft an LT, which apparently Pioli did as well. Also his logic is pretty effed up in claiming that a safety can't be an impact player, especially when you consider Berry's bust potential was lower than just about anyone else in the draft.
