There are some problems with the schedule.

Atlanta's is wrong, has them playing 2 NFC East teams.

And I am assuming ours and Chicago's are wrong too. Chicago has 3 home games against division winners and only 1 road game. Ours has us playing 3 road games against division winners, and only 1 home game. I would assume we will play Chicago at KC, which probably means the whole NFC North/AFC West schedule needs to flip-flop.
Yeah, gotta substitute Seattle for NYG.

There still talking 18 week season next year. So who do we play for the preseason to have any idea of who those other two teams would be?

This schedule is more reason for the Chiefs to be aggressive this offseason in continuing to upgrade the roster. Don't fall into the Dictator Carl approach of doing nothing following playoff seasons.

First, the dog is cute.

Second, the NFL schedule is very simple -- it's based on a set rotation. Each year every team in the NFL:

1. plays each of the other teams in its division twice, once at home and once on the road. (that's six games)

2. plays one divison in the opposite conference (AFC/NFC). (that's four more for 10 games)

3. plays one other division in its own conference (that's four more for 14 games)

4. plays the two teams in the remaining two divisions in its own conference who finished in the same place (first, second, etc.) as it did.

The entire AFC West, therefore, is playing (1) the rest of the WEst twice, obviously, (2) the entire AFC East, (3) the entire NFC North, and (4) the teams in the AFC North and South who finished identically to them.

And the home/away rotation is pre-established. The reason you guys played the Bills the last two years is because you both finished last in your respective divisions. This year, the Bills would not be on your schedule, but by coincidence the Bills are in the AFC East, which is your regularly scheduled AFC divisional opponent this year.

We DO have the Steelers here. Get on the horn.

It's a brutal schedule but doable. Need to strengthen the interior of both lines and add a wr opposite Bowe. Good news is my daughter in Chicago can score me some tickets with her company so I'll be making a trip to Soldier Field.

So how do they determine the home vs away games outside the division? The Bills come to Arrowhead because we won the last meeting?

I guess people learned nothing from teams like Dallas, Minnesota, San Fran, and San Diego this season and the 3 to 4 teams that underachieve every single year. It's simply amazing that every year it is the same crap with the schdules and predictions thinking every year is going to be the same as the year before.
