I don't like a heat fan starting the official playoff thread. Not Awesome.
We'll have to start another one when it's the playoffs. |

I would love to play the trailblazers. It woudnt be a easy sweep like I assume a Hornets series would be.
Plus, I want to see a close game when I go to the first two home games. |

He and his people are the ones who approached ESPN with the idea.

1 - Kobe 2 - Gasol 3 - Bynum (incredible length. Injury prone but so is Boozer) 4 - Boozer And you're helping me make my point about how the Bulls are a ways away if Deng actually is the 2nd best player on the team. |

Pretty fantastic regular season.
The Lakers got damn lucky to hold that 2 seed...though they'll probably lose to Sacramento and screw it up. They certainly don't want to be facing Portland or Denver without Bynum in the first round. They're probably not going to have him for the 2nd round either (so if I'm SA, I bust my ass to win that game and draw them before Bynum comes back). Losing Bynum is a pretty critical blow, but its one they should be used to by now.

Have they said what the extent of Bynum's injury is?

And Boozer could very easily be considered the 4th best player on the Lakers. Kobe and Gasol are clearly better the question is Bynum. Bynum, when healthy, is a little better IMO. And the 'when healthy' caveat is fair since Boozer's never healthy himself. Hell, you can argue that Odom is a better player than Boozer. Odom's capable of taking over games when his head is in it. Odom's problem is that he's nowhere near as competitive as Boozer and he's a floater. I'd take Boozer over Odom, but there were trade offers of the sort a couple years ago and the Lakers turned the Jazz down. So you could make an argument that Boozer's the 3rd best player in LA, but you can also pretty easily make the argument that he's the 5th best player out there. The Bulls are where they are because TT is a fantastic coach and they play a great 'team' game. They've essentially stolen the Celtics identity and done so with players that could put together a 5 yr run with them all in the primes of their careers. It's a pretty nasty team to deal with.

I think everyone is talking about Chicago, Miami, and Boston...for good reason. But don't forget Orlando. They're gonna give Chicago trouble. I pick an upset there. Magic vs. Heat/Celtics in the ECF.

One of the few times the East playoffs will be more interesting than the west.

Odom is better than Bynum. Bynum is going to pull retirement at 27 years old if he keeps getting hurt.
