My best guess at a 1st Round Mock

Bring it, you ****s.

I predict a very heavy run on QB's in the first round this year, as there are so many teams with needs, and even though there are 3 "FA" QB's available (VY, DM, KC-via trade) no one can rely on FA pick ups until this lockout ends. Pretty risky. Even the teams who do pick up those FA's will still need QBOTF's.

It's impossible to guess all the trades, but I went with two.

how would Aldon Smith fall out of the first round exactly let alone be lucky to have him fall to KC at 21 and they would be stupid not to take him.

The fact that New England is allowed to draft in the first round this year, (they weren't busted for cheating yet), really screws things up in terms of predictions.
We all know they'll rape some team that has a stiffy for a guy who drops and will end up trading for an extra first next year and a nice 2nd or 3rd this year.

My question is... Since the lockout is in effect and no players can be traded, is there anything barring teams from trading for "Future Considerations"? For example: Arizona wants to trade their 1st rounder for Philly's second rounder plus future considerations, (Kolb).
I know this type of honor system is alive and well in the NHL but would it fly in the NFL under these circumstances?

And yes it is obvious that Dorsey provides more value to a team that can better utilize his skill set. And we should be able to find 5 tech replacement either in the draft or free agency.

You should find a new hobby because you suck at player evaluation.

Yea, I used the Drafttek.com website and it's draft simulator. If there is someone I like or think there is a need that is picked after The Chiefs pick I can lock that player out. The Sim had Aldon Smith dropping to New Orleans I think originally at 23 so I locked him out as a first round pick for the Chiefs at 21

Same thing happened at round 2 where Dalton was taken by Seattle or something about 2 to 3 slots down. A lot of the QB's were gone by then and they assigned value to all those picks, Dalton wasn't that bad of a loss on value and there wasn't any other real choices there, so I locked him out.

Everything else is done by the simulator as far as picks.

As far as your question about Pouncy, yea the sim had him going in the early second round. No way to go up and get him and it was a value loss to do it so I didn't.
