Will they still research Geno Smith?

Proday on March 14?

Private workout?

Would Geno even want to have a private workout?...being he may very well be a Raider.

Do the math.

1.1+2.34+another second+Branden Albert < Luke Joeckel and Alex Smith

That's the equation that Dorsey and Reid just wrote on the board.

If the trade for Alex Smith happens i don't see a QB selected until the 3rd round at the earliest. They might show up for Geno's workout to go through the motions but ...

after this trade there will a contract extension announced for Alex Smith and he will be our starting QB until Reid gets fired.

You don't trade that much draft pick value and then not give him the starting job for 4+ years.

No way the Chiefs will get what the Rams got last year. Mainly because their isn't a Washington type team out there. Best you are looking at is a swap of 1st this year, a 2nd this year and next year's first. Now the question is Buffalo going to pull that off.

You would be looking at Cordarrelle Patterson or Dee Millner at #8. Of course all of this assumes you resign Albert. Thats an 8-8 team and true fans will be happy.

Getting another 2nd pick for this season and picking up an additional 1st next season and only fall to 8 would not be a bad deal. We can still pick up two solid prospects this way. Of course it all hinges on a deal with Albert like you said.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Because Geno Smith throws a lot of Interceptions.
Just Go back to 49er land, where they don't typically give two shits about the Chiefs, and consider yourself lucky you aren't one of us.

They won't take Geno if they trade their number 2 for Alex. I don't see them taking QB's with their 1 and 2 picks.

Nope they won't.
Reid's tenure in Kansas City is ALL IN on Alex Smith.

What a fucking moron. At least with a draft pick, this fanbase would be understandable with a bust because at least he tried something we haven't seen in 30 years.
