Would You Sign Tyrann Mathieu aka The Honey Badger?

Several teams have expressed an interest in the Honey Badger.

Given his past problems with pot do you think you would give him a shot?

This story came out today:

"Former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu told at least one NFL team he failed so many drug tests in college that he couldn't even remember them all, according to a report by USA Today Sports."

"An assistant coach for one team told the newspaper that when that team interviewed Mathieu, he was asked how many drug tests he failed in college."

"I quit counting at 10," Mathieu answered. "I really don't know."

I don't think he'll be anything more than a kick returner in the pros. He's just not very good in coverage. Late round pick only.

Hell yes, 5th or later only. Every post in this thread could have easily been said about Burfict and you all wish we'd gambled with a 5-7 for him...same situation. Kid can ball, every draft pick is risk vs reward, it's just about the payoff or wasting of a pick.

Also Tamba obviously smokes his ass off (at least at the PB) and isn't too bright either but everyone seems to be ok with him. Would you rather have another Jake Mcconnell or a player who could blow up, even if it's only for 3-4 years?

I'd spend a 5th or later for him. Maybe even a 4th.

I'd take him in the 3rd or 4th, beings that's what it is expected to take in order get him. I think most pundits who have talked about think he'll go in the 3rd. Risky, but reward could be Burfict-esque.
