Dorsey is sending a message that if you suck, you have no place on the team, and we will keep digging until we find someone who can do the job. Again - Brown was awful to the point where QB's target him for free first downs. He was a middle-class man's Agnew. I'm glad he's gone. If the next guy is awful, I hope he gets cut, too.

Its like when that autistic kid randomly hit 7 three pointers in garbage time of the high school basketball game. He's fun to root for, yeah, but you wouldn't start his ass every game. Powe, for as fun and mentally disabled as he was, is not going to be a star in this league, and was barely performing when he was on the field. He was a non-factor. Dorsey is churning the roster until he can find someone who factors in. If the new guy sucks, he'll be cut, too.

His opportunities were limited. Is he just a total ****head as a person or what? I don't see cutting a guy making 6th round money with his talent...

I still dont understand people's obsession with Powe. He didn't get cut because he couldn't learn the playbook, he got caught because he isn't that good. He's a damn 3rd string NT ffs.

He was effective when on the field. He was pretty good - especially as a rotational NT...

Its sad because its true. I was on CP all day during that draft and everyone, myself included, would freak out every round 2-7 because Powe was available. Thank you, Dorsey, for waterboarding us into seeing how a real NFL team should operate.

Marcus Cooper has the most potential to tap into, IMHO. In this scheme, he should excel. 6-2, 4.4 speed, strong and quick. He can be a better version of Sean Smith in a press corner role.

The op said he had never see anything like this. Maybe I'm mistaken, but didn't Carl and Herm make similar post final cutdown moves? I only remember Thigpen. But seems like there were several amirite?
