NZoner, maybe this can take your mind off Manning.....Brett Favre to make a comeback?

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/09/bret...ay-in-the-nfl/

First of all, don’t fret — Brett Favre isn’t coming back. But his agent, Bus Cook, says the soon-to-be 44-year-old could play today if he wanted.

Cook was speaking at an event in Mobile, Ala., on Monday night when he discussed his client’s NFL readiness.

“Today, he could play today. I saw him the other day. He’s in the best shape I’ve ever seen him in, physically.

“His arms look like a blacksmith’s arms. He rides a bike probably 30-50 miles a day. He runs 4 or 5 miles a day. He’s coaching at the high school, and they’re undefeated. He loves it. His body fat is 7.5%, and he weighs 225 pounds. He could play today, better than a lot of them out there today.”

What, no wrestling bears or chopping down trees with the help of his trusty ox, Blue? Does Favre sprout a full beard in the time it takes most men to grow a five o’clock shadow? Did he win a fight to the death against Chuck Norris and the Dos Equis guy?

Though it seems like just yesterday that Favre was cavalierly flinging interceptions with the Minnesota Vikings, it’s almost been three years since he threw his last NFL pass.

I have. And if I could, I'd do it every single day of my life.
I'm actually into biking. I can knock out 12 miles no problem a few times a week.

But 50 miles a day.

Jeez.

I guess if you have a lot of downtime when you're a retired millionaire or something but...wow.

If I had the time and lived by the ocean I would do it.

I believe he has stay that active clay. Maybe not 50 mile extreme but he took a beating for a long time in the NFL. If he sat on a recliner with his millions and ate caviar the poor sap probably couldnt move and his health would decline big time.
