The next 5 games

With Hoyer out for the season & Manuel out for 4-8 weeks, The Chiefs will be facing 3 backup Qb's, one on the hot seat and the faid. 9-0 is looking more realistic with every passing day.

Are the football Gods finally smiling on the Chiefs to make up for the years of misery we've all endured?

And, not to be an a$$, but out of the next stretch - I honestly think KC loses @ TN and vs HOU.

Truth, Luck is for REAL.

A guy like that gives you a good chance against anyone, even with an average defense.

We're not losing to a team with Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB.

Ahhh, nice... looks like the 'passive aggressive' thing is taking shape.

Anyway, to answer the other question. Yeah, Luck is a concern - it's a solid team. And, as I've said before, I think Denver wins 11 games when it's all said and done - winning the division by 1-2 games, most likely. They're not winning 14+ games.

13-3 with the division crown, Denver falters and comes to KC as a Wild Card after trouncing someone week one of the playoffs? Nah. It could never happen.

You do realize Luck had 18 interceptions last season, also known as one more than Josh Freeman, right?

Andrew Luck threw 23 touchdowns last season, also known as four fewer than Josh Freeman, right?

You do know that Andrew Luck averaged 6.98 yards per attempt last year, also known as .3 less than Josh Freeman, right?

Indianapolis looks just about poised to go on a four game losing streak.

I'm thoroughly unconcerned.

Old Chiefs - absolutely.

New Chiefs - they will grind out another victory and rip Fitz's head off in the process.

They might not win another game if Manning blows out his knee. That's the fickle nature of the league -- you can have a great team, someone tackles dopey the wrong way, and your season ends.

We're down some bodies(except no cares about 1.1 and his "herculean" efforts, and with damned good reason), and we're on the road against a fellow ascending team that I guarantee you is just as hungry as we are.

Only Thig and a "uh, hey fella'"-call to Eric Winston can save us now.

Same goes for KC if Alex Smith goes down. Manning has been incredibly durable throughout his career, Alex on the other hand has only made it through a full season healthy twice.
