Entire offense is a mess ...

... from top to bottom and is becoming a real concern.

Play calling is predictable and isn't helping anyone. Must get receivers the ball moving forward instead of standing still. Can't have every route within 10 yards of LOS.

Alex Smith seems to be getting worse. Not only does he not try to make the difficult throw but now he is missing on the easy ones.

Olinemen take turns getting beaten or making penalties

WRs don't win even the 1-on-1 battles with any consistency and still drop too many balls. WRs often run their route and then just stand there until play is over.

Even Jamaal Charles has been making mistakes. Missed blocking assignments, dropped passes, failing to stay in bounds at the end of multiple games.

I'm as big a Smith homer as there is and he has to get better than he has been the last 2 weeks.

OL and WR aren't doing any favors but Smith needs to translate his 4th quarter play into the earlier part of the game.

I remember a lot of uneven performances week to week with McNabb in this offense.

Not that that's an excuse, Alex is supposed to be better than McNabb. Just a consideration.

He's not a bad QB, but he's not an accurate passer either. Noe does he see some of the people who are open. But on that point even I will give him a pass since this O-line isn't giving him a whole heck of a lot of time.

But this is by far not the first game where his accuracy has been questioned.

what the **** ever. We are the only team to go from 2-14 to 6-0 in history and you guys still find room to bitch, bitch and bitch some more.

We all know the offense needs to improve. But JFC, some of you come off like we are 0-6 and all because of the QB.

The sad part is when he does make a good throw none of you say shit.

If only the offense was better they'd have a better record.

going forward it's a major concern

I remember people saying the same thing back in '03 when they thought that special teams would continue to save us.

It didn't and this offense is going to cost us too if it doesn't improve.

Oh, I think we see the good and we love it, we just don't ignore a gash that's bleeding either.

Perhaps we're more like surgeons who aren't as worried about the legs that's fine as the one that needs the surgery. We'll focus on the problem and vitals, and just not break what's not broken.

And I suspect that, quietly, the WRs are getting tired of the poor throws, but they're team players and probably won't say much unless things take a horrible turn for the worse.

Poor throws?

Wait, you're serious.

That throw from our end zone on a 40 yard bomb was really off target last week.

Or all those poor throws that got Avery a ton of YAC against Phily? Yeah, was turble.

Most of this stuff seems like an overreaction to me. Alex looked sharp early. I have to admit, it seems the line is folding some and receivers aren't getting any separation. I don't know exactly what the TE's problems are, but they need to get on the field or we need to go shopping. He has missed some throws, but He's had to rush them before the routes matured as well. The offense chemistry is just not good right now, but Andy will get it sorted, I'm sure. We will not keep the streak if the offense doesn't make some serious changes.

Alex has played fairly dependably, but today wasn't a good game. It happens.

On the one hand, it's encouraging that the defense is good enough to carry us. It's encouraging that we are winning even though the offense is a long way from having played a great game.

If the offense were hitting on all cylinders we'd be hammering teams by 20 points every week, and that just doesn't happen very often in the NFL.

The line play has been poor, no question about it, but it's still his job to perform.

OK, you win, he's awesome, best QB ever, lighting up the stats, he's so awesome he can **** my hot coworker (if can hit one of the holes), he's headed to the HOF in the "Game Manager" corridor, Manning can only hope to rise to his level!

But I expect the state trooper to pull me over and thank me the next time I pay a toll! After all, it's what I'm supposed to do, but we should all get verbal blow jobs when we do our jobs..

We're 6-0 and I'm not sure why we even bother to practice because, well, we're 6-0 so we're perfect!
