Washington TE says......

Husky TE ASJ, after the Huskies 31-16 win over BYU in the Fight Hunger Bowl, said he has played his last game as a Husky. I know a lot of people here want a high impact TE and he could be available in the mid to late first round.

With all the issues at WR and DB, are we really going to start trying to pimp a ****ing tight end with our first round pick?

There's no coming back from a $5M cap hit.

I think we should take the best player available. I personally hope its a WR but I would take any exceptional play maker at this point.

If you can get a complete caliber TE on this offense with a good skill set like Ebron, ASJ or Amaro you ****ing take him.

Duck Dynasty and Fasano are NOT complete TE's. They are both one dimensional. Duck Dynasty can't block, but he's a pretty decent receiver, and Fasano is the complete opposite.
Considering the fact that there have been games where all we've had is Duck Dynasty due to injury, it is a concern.

A complete TE that can block well and beat LB's with speed is one of the most treasured pieces of an NFL roster, especially when your QB thrives because of them. It's one of the hardest players to cover and it changes the offense completely.

Honestly think Dorsey will dump Avery and look to get a vet WR (Maclin or James Jones). Getting that WR and getting Kelce and a first round monster would make this offense incredibly more potent.

You need a legit Franchise caliber QB to do that

The chiefs qb has proven over time that he can utilize a dynamic tight end. Is this even debatable?

No. Alex NEEDS an elite TE. Look what he did with Vernon Davis. ASJ has the ability to be that guy IMO.

If a good WR can be had in FA and a stud TE via the draft, I would be happier than a pig in shit. That safety spot must be addressed as well, though.

This.

This team needs a dynamic TE in the worst way.

Um...

Quote:
Travis Kelce is the top senior tight end in this class, with the strength and speed to be a consistent receiving and blocking threat
Quote:
Balanced athlete with better wheels than expected, accelerating quickly to top speed. Deceiving quickness after the catch with loose hips and a fluid and flexible frame. Smooth and patient in his routes to release and gain separation. Catches the ball with his hands and does a nice job working back to the ball. Strong hands at the point of attack as a blocker and plays with a mean streak to eliminate defenders. Aggressive and feisty blocker who loves to finish, showing good awareness in this area to pick up his assignment and block anyone around him. Led the Bearcats in receiving in 2012 and more than tripled his career production. Works hard in the weight room and plays with NFL intensity.
Quote:
Kelce has an ideal tight end frame. Athletic for his size, with great strength, and the ability to stretch the field vertically. Very physical run blocker, generates power from the lower half, and will move defenders off the ball. Plays with leverage. Wide catching radius, can adjust and make the difficult catch. Tough to bring down after the catch. Light feet, and has lined up in numerous different positions.

I know it's been a whole year, but I think they drafted that "dynamic" tight end already.

This reminds me of last year when guys around here were wanting the Chiefs to draft a nose tackle right after we drafted Dontari Poe. Oh noes! Kelce was on IR!!!! We need to draft another guy just like him!!!!

I think Kelce will be a beast in this offense, but we need insurance and another TE.

Fasano is a band-aid. He's not meant to be here that long, and with him being hurt a lot this year, I can see him being with this team for next year and then being let go.

Besides, it isn't like microfracture surgery is a serious deal. Just ask this guy:

I agree sorter.

But the bigger issue to me is that he came into the league with injury issues, and then misses his entire first season.
