What about Chris Clemons?

Why did this guy fall off the radar? And wouldn't he be worth our coin?

The most recent info I've seen on him.

The New York Daily News reports free agent FS Chris Clemons is "on the Jets' radar."
He'd be a better schematic fit for the Jets than Donte Whitner, as Clemons is a true center-field safety and would complement in-the-box type SS Dawan Landry. Clemons is an excellent cover guy, though he's a bit shaky in run support and hasn't been a playmaker. The Dolphins are not expected to re-sign him. Mar 9 - 5:49 PM

Teams are avoiding him like the bubonic plague, the story is of yet unwritten, but so far... if everyone else is scared away, there just might be a good reason for it.

I want GOOD bets, not just signing jokers to sign them... contrary to popular belief.

Saw on fb today the chiefs plan to move forward with comings as the starter. I'll try to find the link.

Sanders Commings is expected to be the Chiefs starting free safety.
The Chiefs are showing no interest in re-signing last year's starter, Kendrick Lewis. They've also been quiet on the free agent market when it comes to safeties. The logical move is to hand the job to Commings, a second-year player whose rookie campaign was marred by a broken collarbone. His coverage skills will be as asset. Mar 17 - 11:30 AM

Wow. Just wow.

So we deal two 2nds in a "win now" move, don't win, and now are changing course and apparently relying on young players at safety and OL.

I'm afraid to ask what the plan may be next year - I can only assume something different yet again.

We were also told that the chiefs believe in competition and that there would always be competition. This really isn't any different than what Pioli did, gifting players with starts.

A week in to FA, and almost two months before the draft? Yes it does.

Still need several other positions too. The draft isn't going to address everything, it's mathematically impossible.

Doesn't make sense going into the season hoping a second year player who's never played said position, one that happens to be of utmost importance in our scheme, can play it to the level we need.

I don't have a problem playing young cheap players, but this seems pretty crazy
