42% of Americans eventually cremated

Per Forbes:
In 1960 the average cost of a funeral was $706 when only 3.56% of bodies were cremated. Today the average traditional funeral costs between $8,000 and $10,000, and about 42% of people are cremated.

If I were choosing from a clean slate and money was no object, I'd be transformed into a LifeGem.

If I were choosing from a clean slate in reality, I'd just be cremated.

Since I've already paid for a burial plot, I'll probably just be buried (and that's how I voted), although if I can resell it someday, I might do that instead.

Bob Dole has requested to be left seated in his recliner until KC wins a Super Bowl. That probably means Bob Dole will just rot and soak into a chair.

I opt for cremation. I think the embalming process is gross and unnecessary.

Back in January the cheapest casket was about $7000, most were about in the $10000 dollar range. The cost to open the plot was around $6000 and burial.

Actually, I've changed my mind. If my brain cannot be put into a vat. I want to be stuffed like a god damned deer and placed at a museum. I'll be put in a Hugh Heffner robe with a glass of scotch in one hand, and a stogie on the other while sitting on a huge Scarface throne chair.

Seems like a waste to spend so much on a box where my decaying carcass will reside. I give no shits after I'm dead and gone, about anything whatsoever.

pretty much

my grandparents had an extra plot next to them and the asked me if i wanted to be buried by them. So i have a plot and all that extra stuff but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Just glad my Dad bought his plot about 30 years ago. Then there is another $600 bucks to add his death date to his tombstone.
