I'm worried this one will finish around 53 posts - I botched it by not checking if there were still Shoney's in KC Metro area first. For that reason alone (unless hijacked by Perkins' topics) - this won't achieve the Century. If this gets a good Perkins' or Ihop hijackin' then it'll have a look at a hundy.

Sure, a definite slump buster. As for the original question, I remember always being excited for Shoney's Breakfast Buffet, but have not been there in 15 years.
I do remember being pleased, but could not tell you if I'd still be pleased. |

Shoney's is repugnant. I wouldn't eat there on a dare.

There isn't a Shoney's or Denny's around here. I have ate at them both there isn't much difference that I have noticed, but I don't eat at them very often.
Ihop sucks to me. Everything in there is about the sugar level. Just way to sweet.

After perusing their website, sounds like they are still popular in some regions.

What I THOUGHT Shoney's was famous for - however I was so young - it may've only been popular in my own family. I drew the conclusion (prematurely) that these were popular w/ EVERYone. Turns out it may've only been an inner-family 'hit.' |
