Why?

We're gonna face better QB's this season and an overall tougher schedule and our CB's are gonna be ****ing burnt toast DV era style all season long.

Hope I'm wrong. This team has 9-10 potential Pro Bowlers (colquitt included) on it. That's half of your starting unit. On paper it seems like we should, but there are just glaring holes at WR outisde of Bowe, OL and CB.

No, I don't. Sutton has been exposed, but the Chiefs refuse to see it, and we won't have the forgiving schedule this year.

Not that I give a rat's ass about "making" the playoffs.

Our OL is questionable at best at the moment and we still have the same WR's as last year, minus DMC. I like Smith, but he can't just will the offense to work with subpar linemen/WRs. Our Defense as a whole is just a mystery, since now I can't trust Sutton to save my life and our CB's are pretty much all no-names. And our schedule is significantly tougher than last year, and we're practically the same team, probably worse.

I'd love to be wrong, but I feel like going 9-7 or better would be a damn miracle.

I don't worry about the o-line that much. The offense will be good enough to win if we have a balanced attack. Of course, that means the defense has to step up. The big wild card is Sutton who has to start making better in-game decisions, like substituting every once in a ****ing while. And there's some defensive adds that are in the boat of "well, they won't be worse than what we had." Commings and Abdullah can't be worse, and Commings especially could end up a huge upgrade over Demps. Be interesting to see if Parker can match Flowers. Walker will be a big upgrade, and I'm very curious to see Catapano's progress. Not to mention that Ford undoubtedly improves our pass rush by adding more depth.

They don't need to dominate. If the Chiefs can get good (even if not great) offense and defense at the same time, they can at least compete. Too many games last year where one side of the ball was too lackluster.

So to me, the team goes as Sutton goes. I'm not convinced he's the right guy for the job so I think we go 7-9. But while our talent can be better, I think Sutton is the guy most likely to hold us back.

I would guess 7-9 or 8-8 at best. We have a brutal schedule this year and a lot of question marks, meaning no playoffs.
