Quick Thoughts of Loss to Steelers

1. Ever since the schedule was released I always considered this a Chiefs loss. Pittsburg is a difficult place to play, especially if they are somewhat healthy.

2. Always take the points. I loved the fake field goal, but had the Chiefs kicked a FG before the end of the half we would have been 8 yards away from a tied game.

3. The lack of an actual passing attack makes the Chiefs easy to defend. People figured us out mid-season, which is why we struggled in the second half of the season.

4. Left guard may be the biggest position of need in the off season. Yikes it’s bad.

5. Besides our offense output, the reason why we are on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs go is because our defense does not force turnovers. We averaged over two turnovers per game in 2014, this year its less than one. Our inability to force turnovers just kills us.

6. I’m actually impressed with our defense against the pass. Big Ben was 18 of 25 for 220 yards and one TD. Bell had 20 carries for 63 yards and a TD. If you would have shown me those stats before the game I think we would all say it’s a Chiefs victory.

7. I don’t want the Chiefs to make the playoffs. Let’s face it, it’s not like we are a team that can get hot and make a run in the playoffs. At this point I’d rather have a higher draft pick.

8. Speaking of the draft, biggest need is a left guard, not a safety, not a OLB, and not a CB. We need to come away from the first two rounds with a playmaker at WR and a legit guard.

9. As frustrating as it is that Ford doesn’t play much, he does find a way to flash when he does play. That gives me hope for next season when he is a starter.

10. I swear the refs have it out for the Chiefs. I know every fan says this about their team but how many BS calls do we have to endure?

Now, I'll admit that Powe, Houston and Hali are awesome, but the rest of them either couldn't start on most other teams, or are just drawing a paycheck.

And, since they don't ever seem to have any choice words (in public) for the O-line, **** um. let them take the heat with the O-line they;re afraid to call-out publically....
The pass D is stellar, but they gave up plays at the end. 5/10 on 3rd down, ect... this team blew it.

I'm not blaming the defense, I'm saying blaming ONE person is what a moron does because they're too stupid to analyze the entire situation.
If JC doesn't fumble, it does happen.

Bitching about the D at all is ridiculous. They had nothing to do with the atrocious play on offense.

Of course it doesn't. I wasn't talking about the offense. I was responding to a 'it's all this one guys' fault' comment.

They just failed to make plays late in the game and allowed a clock killing game deciding drive.

That doesn't excuse the offense for failing all game long, but had they made a stop, we still had a chance. It was over after that drive. Like a QB who throws for 300+ yards and 3 TD's but throws a pick on game deciding drive. It's sours the whole performance.

The offense has been a disaster all season long.

Stellar? Ben was 18-25... And that's not the best or worst, but he sure hit them when he needed them, and that means our Pass-D gave them up when we needed most to not give them up.

With a better O that D would be fine, but the O is more terrible.

The only thing about the D is that it's a shit-ton better than the O. Good for them.

Great idea. The key to winning is to revolve this team around an Alex Smith passing attack.

The oline is bad. The receivers need improvement. But if anybody watches today's game and seriously doesn't put most of the blame on the QB, you are seriously mental.

I'm sorry but we need an owner that gets it.

If the Chiefs are scoring TDs instead of FGs, they win. Period.

And we're not having this stupid argument over the D.

12 points isn't going to win many road games. And not taking the field goal at the end of the 1st half was dumb and I thought the turning point of the game.

I do think Jeff Allen has some value, but its hard to count on him being the upgrade we need. Our guard play hurts the running game, not just the passing game.

As for our biggest needs, I agree that WR is one of them, but not DBs. We should use the mid rounds to add depth in the defensive backfield and find a ILB.
A first on a guard may not be so reeruned after all, we need someone good enough to help mask Fishers awful stench... so yeah, we may need to prop up our #1 pick with yet another #1.

Sucks to say, but its probably true.

I put it equally on the QB and O-line for the passing game issues. This OL is ****ing awful.

Every time a play ends, you can almost always find Fisher somewhere on his ass.

The guy wouldn't even be playing if not for his draft position.
