I think it just goes to show how scarce good Christmas movies are. Look at Elf for example. It's a halfway decent Will Ferrell movie that has been blown up as the greatest Holiday movie of all time. Christmas Vacation is the 3rd best movie in that series, but yet come December, it's sacred. And the Home Alone series? Unless you have kids, no human being over the age of 9 can justifiably watch those.

It's a great movie. It reminds me of growing up. If you don't like it, don't watch it. If indeed they are going to delete the scene, I would have to agree: "It's the pussification of America continues"

Scrooge (with Alistair Sims) My personal favorite.
Elf is just stupid.
Home Alone: My grandkids just love it.

It's not a great movie. I don't watch it. With that said, the POS movie has a damn monopoly on television. What's the channel that runs it back-to-back-to-back-to-back for like 12 straight ****ing hours? I mean can you even imagine? It's that type of shit that led Robin Williams to hang himself.

I don't think Elf is stupid, I just think it's not amazing. To me, it's like every Will Ferrell movie, minus the 5 minute improv scenes and the bad language. It doesn't deserve the cult icon status that it does over the Holidays.
