For some reason, I thought the can of jalapeno Spam looked intriguing, so I gave that a try a while back. First time I'd had spam in probably 15 years. Blech. Nothing but salt with a hint of jalapeno.

I bought a few cans after watching an MRE channnel on YouTube. Regular, bacon and chorizo. First time I've had it in probably 20 years.
Not too bad actually. I love ham and it makes a damn fine addition to grilled cheese. |

Cant argue with those who say its very salty, thats why I like it on a sandwich with some veggies and mayo... the bread etc helps dilute the saltiness Our Granpappys won WWII on bellies full of Spam, thats good enough for me by Gum! |

It is a Hawaiian specialty. Rice and SPAM wrapped with dried seaweed. Makes a great meal on the go, I'll sometimes stop at 7-11 and get one if I don't have time to stop and eat somewhere. I'll also throw one in my pack when I'm hiking, they can give you a good boost of carbs and protein when you are tired.

We make Spam hash. Dice a can of Spam, a potato and an onion and fry them all together. Easy and tastes pretty good. My wife likes to put a little ketchup on hers.

In Hawaii you can get SPAM as your breakfast meat even in really nice restaurants as well as McDonalds. And then there is my favorite at Zippy's, an iconic local restaurant chain, the Zip Pac which is like a mixed plate with teriyaki beef, a piece of fried chicken, fried fish and a slice of SPAM served with rice. Good stuff.

Maybe we should have a CP version of chopped with spam as the secret ingredient.

I can't do the sodium in SPAM. It's like your daily allowance plus some in one sitting.

Yep, sometimes you have to put your health to the side for certain food items and stop being a little bitch
I have gout, I'm still going to drink and eat all the red meats.

As a kid, I thought Spam was a mythical thing that Monty Python had made up. Then one day when I was a teenager I saw it in a grocery store and had a holy crap moment.
