I really think the "curse" is the hunt family not insisting on winning a championship and doing whatever necessary to make it so.

It's easier for me to believe that during the major strike of 1969 when Arrowhead construction all but came to a halt the Chiefs sold their soul to get the stadium finished.I mean it's in print that the Chiefs gave 2000 opening day seats to union workers,whose to say it stopped there and although a stretch at least we know for certain that crap like that does go on in big business.

You want a curse? I'll show you a ****ing curse.

Everybody knows about the "no 1st QBs drafted from 1984-2016" bit. But check out the TOTAL drafted QBs we had since 1997:

2016- Kevin Hogan (5th round)
2014- Aaron Murray (5th round)
2011- Ricky Stanzi (5th round)
2006- Brodie Croyle (3rd round)
2005- James Killian (7th round)
1997- Pat Barnes (4th round)

In a stretch of 20 years we drafted SIX. And the biggest dry spell (EIGHT ****ING YEARS) was during the awful mediocrity of the Gunther and Vermeil era. Not to mention the fact that between 2006 and 2011 the Chiefs posted seasons of 2-14 and 4-12 (two times) and NOT ONE ****ING QUARTERBACK WAS DRAFTED. NOT EVEN A GODDAMN 7TH ROUND FLIER.

That's been the worst part about being a fan of this team. We don't trade for other teams' backups as a, "Hey, maybe this will work." We trade for other teams' backups and then treat them like they're ****ing legitimate franchise QBs. No "Shit or get off the pot, dude" for those guys. They get the royal ****ing treatment.

It's why I will never apologize for fans who booed Cassel when he was on the ground injured. That mother****er stole $60 million from this team and got ALL of the ****ing luxuries and chances to make something happened and he never did.

I seems like it. and I joke with my friends about a curse, but how many of the "curse" games were the Chiefs the better team? The '95 Colts game and this last game I think the Chiefs were the better team. the '97 game against the Broncos I think they were about the same but other than that, the Chiefs were the worse team.

They’ve hired nothing but rehashed coaches for decades. Always going the safe “proven mediocre” route.
