Tried this place over Thanksgiving. Totally scary looking but good food. The wife thinks we need to go there whenever we're in KC.

I had a hot dog, fried burrito, and Frito pie. The wife had a hot dog and Frito pie. The chili on the Frito pie seems to be homemade. Good flavor, no beans, a little heat. Good stuff.

The root beer, IMO, is better than the root beer at A&W restaurants.

I must have just missed you. I took a gallon of Mugs Up root beer with me to our family Thanksgiving. It got snarfed up in about 10 minutes. You missed out on the Whiz Burger. The Pork Tenderloin is good too.

+1 for this place. I went there a couple of times last year based largely on Mr. Blowfish's recommendation. The place is a bit scary, but the food is great and ticks the box from a nostalgic perspective. I was even offered a second Whiz Burger for free. I declined as I was stuffed, but wasn't sure why it was offered in the first place. It's now on the list of "must take friends to eat there" going forward.

Anybody else like root beer after they been maced or pepper sprayed? Seems to really help to get the smell out of the nose.
