The SB Hangover: Do the Chiefs experience it?

I know nobody wants to think about this. But is this possible?

Or does Mahomes/Reid and overall team chemistry factor in too big of a blockade for something like that to happen?

Does this season all things considered provide the Chiefs an advantage since they're not going through any regime changes, coordinator changes, QB changes, etc. They're returning 20/22 starters. The rookies may be behind a little but the majority of the team, mainly the important impact players, all know the system, playbook, language, etc. A team that does have to go through that is going to need that extra OTA, training camp time etc. Not saying the Chiefs don't need it too, but they can probably get by with picking up where they left off and go from there and not skip a beat IMO.

History hasn't been too kind to the team that's won the SB the previous season. Hope the Chiefs can overcome that bad luck mojo much like they did the Madden curse.

AFC is pretty weak...Ravens might be the closest team and have yet to win a single playoff game.

After them, then who? Colts with Rivers? Titans? Steelers with Big Rape returning?

Patriots were their biggest adversary...and they are dead now.

There arent any Superstar QBs except Lamar...and I think they peaked last year. I dont think that style of offense ages well...

If Big Ben is healthy, I think the Steelers are a better team than the Ravens.

Better defense, same OL, equal or better weapons.

Hot take, but not bad. I just have a hard time seeing how much better the Steelers actually got this offseason.

Someone was running a poll on Twitter talking about the next Super Bowl. The runaway favorite to win?

Tampa

Chiefs were second.

I think a lot of people are gonna be very disappointed with this upcoming season.

honestly Tom Brady vs Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl would be one of the most epic showdowns in NFL History. Think about if it turned into a shoot out!

If that game turned into a shootout, then the Chiefs will drop 70. The Tampa secondary sucks, their pass rush will be worse, their QB is 100 years old with a noodle arm, our QB is the best in the game with young weapons everywhere, and our pass defense is better than theirs.

I'm pretty sure Tom's "shootout" days are over, but maybe he'll prove me wrong.

Saw an article listing reasons that the Chiefs would suffer a hangover.

One of the reasons was because Allegretti was a starter. lolwut?

Sounds like a well-written, thoroughly researched piece of literature.

Analysis like that is on par with Stephen A Smith saying that Derrick Johnson vs Hunter Henry was the key to our 2018 matchup.
