The best 25 KC Chiefs players to never win a Super Bowl

Interesting article, but too large to paste here.

https://arrowheadaddict.com/2021/09/...in-super-bowl/

I'd be interested in who you think are the best Chiefs' players to not end up in the Super Bowl.

My pick is Henry Marshall. Saw him play at Arrowhead. He was amazing.

If you could go back in time, and take out Matt Cassel like on Terminator 2 would you do it? I think I would.

But outside of Dawson and Mahomes, Trent Green owns a pretty sizable portion of the Chiefs record books.

If you can make a case for a guy like Holmes, you can make a case for Green too.

I think putting Alex Smith on the list is okay if you put Green on there too - similar players in terms of results.

I can't see putting guys like Bowe or Tony Richardson on there though.

EDIT: I guess they counted Green's sitting on the bench while Kurt Warner won a Super Bowl as reason to exclude him.
Only semi related but I am constantly surprised at how high Bowe is on a lot of Chiefs WR records. Makes you wonder what his career could have been like with better and more consistent passers or being part of a more complete offense.

Also, **** off with Lowery. Guy held a players only meeting with the GM to undermine Mackovic, who got them to the playoffs in 86, and ushered in the Frank Ganz era.

That guy can forever eat shit

Alex Smith a little high on that list but ya looks about right. I would consider putting some guys like James Hasty, Dan Saleaumua, Trent Green, Dave Szott, Kimble Anders, Eddie Kennison

If only a Sonic was closer to his house, how good could he have been? We can only dream.

If you’re keeping count, Will Shields is the fourth offensive lineman from Dick Vermeil’s infamous stout offensive line in the 2000s who has made this list.

Author is an idiot. How was that an infamous line? Does he know what that word means?

Infamous stout offensive line? Huh?

Lin Elliott and Matt Cassel should be in the list.

Along with Marty as a coach and William Bartee

I’d probably throw Jesse Haynes and Greg Hill on there as well.

I can't start threads, so I thought this is best thread to ask this.

Do you remember the puntless game in the 2003 playoffs between Indy and KC?

After KC scored to make it 38-31, the announcers debated an onside kick.

Let's imagine a similar situation, only the score is 38-37.

In theory, is it legal to tell your kicker to kick the ball toward YOUR goal line? If the ball is downed inside your ten, you guarantee yourself a chance to get the ball back with a one score game (barring a two-point conversion), as your opponent only will get one set of downs and there are four minutes left.

Infamous means you did something bad that you are remembered for. It has no positive connotation.
