I've quit posting on the old board, but still look in from time to time. Still seems like the hot topic over there (and there sure aren't many of them) is the great defection.

For entertainment value only, you should read the latest post of one of my favorite narcissistic gasbags, Roger Garrett. To summarize, he rips all of us for coming over here, totally tees off on JOhn(?), knocks the new board, relishes in taking credit for driving us away, and has the unmitigated gaul to complain about someone else putting up too many posts!

Certainly not Blazing Saddles, but it made me chuckle. Glad I broke away.

You are right, this "battle" is tame compared to others in cyberspace. I have seen the Borg and they are not us.

I should not have singled you out and for that I apologize. My annoyance is just running a little higher due to the lack of "self-respect" on the other BB when addressing the issue of some of us leaving. One person(you know who SHE is), who has always labeled herself as the modicum of understanding, has suddenly dropped her facade and shone her true colors. Instead of leading the pack by example and showing respect for our decisions she has decided to use her voice as a hammer & sickle hacking away with negativism.

If we, as a group, wanted to go back and create chaos on the board, it would be very simple. But, that would not solve anything, would be counter-productive, and is not my style. I have, so far, chosen not to go back and post any counterpoints to her very weak arguments. But should the inferences continue I will address them in a civil manner if need be.

Once again, my apologies for singling you out, I should not have done that.

That is bull...have you started a thread or posted about anything that was not CP related? And why must you defend yourself? Are you of such low self esteem that other people's views of you matter?

Look, we want to get our board back to normal...please help us by letting us vent about what some people tried to do to destroy this board be it the BBadmin or those who used a mistake to create a crisis, brag on the good things we have, bag on the bad, and just be the humble place we used to be.

Hey Mark - Here's a case in point for what a lightweight "battle" this is. I had to search thru your previous reply to see where I had been "singled out." I couldn't even find the part where I should have been offended enough to warrant your apology! This is truly the Battle of the Nice Folks.

I guess I was trying to say in my way earlier reply that both boards will take on a life of their own. The split between the two will spawn two vibrant and healthy arenas to support and bash the Chiefs. No worries, mate!

FWIW, I am the person who she keeps referring to when she talks about "Hitler" or "fascist" in her comments. What is so funny is that she accused everyone of calling Beckie & the other BBA's those names, when in fact, all that happened was that I used the term "Hitler's method of expungement". I guess if I had wanted to I should have used her argument [b]"that's YOUR version of what I was trying to say"[/b]

Why don't you ask her to come right out and point out the accused person who called Beckie those names?

The 'QUOTE' function allows UBB to bypass the need for post #s. Just type {Quote}paste quote here{/Quote}. (But use the "[" "]" brackets instead).
