Sorry if it's a repost, but I'm seeing a lot of talk about this... thought we might centralize the discussion.

This makes me excited.

Save the game as you are sitting there doing nothing. Quit the game.

Turn the game back on, load it from that last save, and voila!

I finally just skipped it and put the pts where I wanted them.

Just finished this last night. Brilliant game.

I just wish there was a way to crossover with Oblivion. I'd like to watch the effects of the Experimental MIRV on a Daedric horde during the Battle of Bruma.

At least you have a killer suite now to store all your goodies.. If you decide to purchase a theme, get the LOVE one

Not sure I follow.

I figured Supermart (or whatever it's called) was my home base. Used the bed about 10 times while esploring but then once I discovered the med supplies in there I told that dizzy bidge I couldn't find (my bad) I got attacked and hurt big.

Do I just kill the raiders again and take it back as my APT or is it always a random thing where you never know?...

You never know.

There are two homes for you. If you fix the bomb, it's an empty house in Megaton. If you arm the bomb, you can go to the penthouse in Tenpenny Tower and blow the town to hell. Then you get a room in Tenpenny.

I prefer the house in Megaton, but mainly because I buy a ton of shit, and I like to have as many people to sell to as I can, since I kill all the traveling salesmen and take their shit.

Word of advice, do the Megaton mission early in the game. That way, you can use the house/suite to store extra guns & armor, components for created weapons, and items to sell for caps (scrap metal, pre-war books, Sugar Bombs, etc).

I chose to save Megaton b/c it's centrally located, but the explosion scene is boss.

Edit - by icing Tenpenny's goon, you'll have to save Megaton.

The Tenpenny room is better, no doubt. I just like the option of selling to more people and getting more money.

One of the dudes downstairs? Not sure. You may have to let the ghouls take the place over. I know there is a ghoul that will do repairs.
