I did stick to the argument. You asked if anybody is suggesting the cops should come to Snyder's door and force him to change the name, and I pointed out that the anti-Redskins crowd has already tried suing to get the trademark protections removed. It's evidence that there are people who - unlike the vast majority of the responders to this thread, from what I gather - are a racial minority whose culture has suffered for hundreds of years, and don't really want to be reminded about it every single Sunday. It also shows that they are passionate enough about it to take the most vigorous legal action they can, and that popular support among non-Native Americans is growing to the point where the name change could very likely be inevitable.

I'd say that's on topic.

SO, if you have red skin and they call you redskin that somehow is derogatory? So if some one is white and they have white skin then calling them whiteskins is politically incorrect or belittling? I have no feeling in the world and would be proud to be a whiteskin!! Change the name to Washington Whiteskins!! Someone must be embarrassed on their national heritage or feel like they are being somehow made fun of.. heck Whiteskins pay good money to get that tan every year! So maybe they are talking about the white person going into the tanning salon coming out with red skin! hmmm.. I just might be onto something

The current price of beef is offensive, but I was just pointing out that this (the term "Redskins" being called offensive by that office) has happened before, and it was appealed. I think it was back in 1999.
