Malaysia Airlines loses contact with plane carrying 239 people
Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with a plane with 239 aboard enroute from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
The airline said in a statement early Saturday it was attempting to locate the Boeing 777 after it lost contact with Subang Air Traffic Control at 2:40 a.m. It was scheduled to land in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. China's state-run news agency Xinhua reported the plane was lost in airspace controlled by Vietnam, and did not make contact with Chinese air traffic controllers. The plane is carrying 227 passengers, including two infants, and 12 crew members. The airline said it is working with authorities to locate the plane. Boeing said on its Twitter account it is monitoring the situation, and "our thoughts are with everyone on board." http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/03...ing-23-people/ Malaysian jet probe sharpens focus on passengers, crew as new clues emerge http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/03...-indian-ocean/ Last edited by ShowtimeSBMVP; 03-15-2014 at 09:02 AM.. |

Other major thing he said was that last contact with the plane was at 8:11 AM. That means the plane was in the air at least 7.5 hours.

Yeah that's why I thought it wasn't reassuring. The only things he really confirmed was that this was a deliberate act, and the plane was in the air over 7 hours. Of course they haven't been the best source of information either. Good luck.

Hijacked? Holy crap.
Odd how someone said that the plane was west of Perth. That's a long way south. |

You aren't going to be able to get into the cabin anyway, unless someone lets you in. Ramming the door with the beverage cart isn't going to work anymore.
The question in my mind is why would you fly where they did, what possible aim could they have had? If you are going to crash the plane and take everyone with you, why wait so long? |

if the hijackers are headed in 1 of 2 directions, either open ocean west of Perth or the central asia Stan countries, I think I would place my bet on the Stans.

There's still a chance that it is the Uyghur rebels in China. the odds are that it is the Muslims, but it may be worth putting a buck or two on the Uyghurs if you're in Vegas right now.

Apparently, that was not confirmed, it was just a possible location if the plane had flown the southern corridor. Obviously there is no reason whatsoever to go there unless your goal was to make sure that your watery grave was never found. If we have terrorists on this plane, then they went the northern route.

I have a theory about this plane that I have not seen anyone mention yet. I think it is not in the ocean, or on land! What if the plane never came back to ground? Instead, it kept climbing, to the point it left earth's atmosphere! A space shuttle has insane amounts of thrust/force/speed to get off the ground and into space, but so does a plane when traveling at 40,000 feet and over 500 mph!
What if the pilot pulled the nose up and just kept going? What if that plane was so high that it just left the gravitational pull of the earth? |
