Ted Ginn on the block

I think he would fit extremely nicely as a slot receiver/KR/PR. I imagine the Tuna would require a 4th or maybe even 2 of our 5ths. Would you pull the trigger?

I'm' sorry if our standards of the highest paid GM in football were higher than that. I don't know what we could have been thinking.
Cassel may or may not bust...but at least if he repeats his 2009 this year we'll be off the hook and he'll have made $32M or so...

and it's not like it effects us in the least...

Swing and a potential miss...doesn't that happen every time you take a QB?

It will be a totally irrelevant, and possibly a good thing if one of two things happens:

1.) We take Clausen. Clausen > Sanchez
2.) Sanchez busts...

If either of those two things happen, the Cassel thing was just a wasted 2nd round pick...oh well....2nd round picks are a flip of the coin anyways, at best...

As for Tyson Jackson...sure, he was a reach...no doubt about that...but he can still turn into a really, really good football player...so eventually you are just going to have to get over the fact we reached for the guy...looking back on it, we should have taken Crabtree...but if that happened...you guys would have shit your very same brick...even on Maclin...even on ANYONE NOT NAMED SANCHEZ...

That pick was destined for failure with you morons as soon as we traded for Cassel...who, in all honesty, in my eyes, has about the same upside as Sanchez...which shows you how much Sanchez impressed me last year.

so...

you won't admit the fact that you were simply enamored with Bruce Campbell for ONE reason...the combine?

Or are you going to pretend like you watched him play in college and thought he was all-world talent?!

You were all over Campbell as the better prospect compared to Okung in those combine threads.

If the Chiefs were to take Clausen (and I wake up every day with a different feeling on whether or not they will...today it's more of a not going to happen feeling)...

That means we automatically get an upgraded grade for the 2009 draft because Clausen is better prospect than Sanchez.

Which is precisely why I said we should take Maclin, just so I could shit a brick, because you apparently know my psyche and think that I'm into schadenfraude.

Of course, what is ignored in your hypothetical is the very real possibility that

1) Cassel busts
2) Sanchez makes it
3) Clausen makes it

And yet, we pin all of our hopes on Cassel, miss out on both of those QBs, and to top that all off, win 6-7 games b/c of our schedule next year and miss out on those QBs, too.

The difference in taking a QB is that while success of those who play the position is dependent on overall probability, success of the individual is not. If that were the case, then we would have been just as well off taking Graham Harrell last year since it's all just a coinflip anyway.

Typical gambler's fallacy.

well when 2) happens and we pass on 3), then we can start talking about Pioli as a failure.

Right now?

Premature is an understatement.

In fact here is my write up of the selection when I picked Campbell:

.

Notice the bold selection at the top? See how I am measuring his strengths and weaknesses?

Again, I'm not picking someone with that many questions in the top 10, but as the financial risk decreases, the upside of the player becomes more worth it.

Hootie is consistently the biggest moron in this forum.

He's always claiming that OTWP, Hamas, Mecca and I are wrong, yet he's never been able to prove that with any consistency. Of course, if someone is willing to put their ass on the line year after year with mock drafts, there are going to be some misses.

But Hootie acts as if EVERY mock draft and EVERY personnel criticism is a miss, which couldn't be further from the truth.

I rarely point out any time when you are right or wrong...

I just point out how ridiculous many of your posts are when it comes to judging whether or not Pioli is capable of doing his job.

I'm saying judging a brand new GM who wants to build his style of a franchise after 1 year is completely, 100% ridiculous.

28 hits just for the search terms "Hamas" and "Gholston" combined, FWIW.
