I love Albert. I bought his jersey when we drafted him .
Hes that leader that you want in the locker room. Hes driven and truly wants to be the best. He has the talent and has finally started to get the results to argue he is a top 10 LT in the league. Why on earth wouldn't Reid and Dorsey sign him..? |

I kinda feel like this is the way it has to happen. For teh Chiefs to finally draft a Qb in the first round, this is the offseason we have to go through. Of course it is, it's the Chiefs way.
It's stressful as all get out. I'm really thinking about just lurking from time to time for news and now posting much, but I love draft time so I'm torn. |

If the A Smith rumors are true would you be ok with drafting Geno still at #1 and let the smith brothers battle it out.

True also Reid tried trading for Albert during draft day and was really high on D Bowe.

Well i honestly don't give a **** what happens, as long as we draft Geno. If Reid wants to let Geno sit for a year (highly unnecessary in my opinion), so be it.

Looks like everybody loves the chocolate penii. A person asked Geno at the combine why everyone thinks hes a running qb. His response was its because im black. I get it its the sterotypical thing to say for a black qb.

At the end of the day i think the Alex Smith thing is simply a rumor. and not one let out by the chiefs. Even if they are interested, they had nothing to gain from spreading it. It seems like Media BS or San Fran trying to drum up interest.
My thoughts are that Reid and Dorsey are doing their due diligence, which probably includes seeing what trade down options they have, as well as seeing if they could get A Smith for a 4th or 5th. I think you'll find that Bowe and Albert will be resigned and Geno will continue to build momentum up to his pro day- which he will kill and thus Reid and Dorsey will have no choice but to draft him. Two big give aways for me were when (cant remember who said it, maybe both) Reid or Dorsey said you maybe trade for a QB, draft one, or pick one up in free agency - or all of those options. That alludes me to believe that even if we do pick up a veteran qb - we will draft one too. Reid has also said he wants a qb that can win games not simply a game manager. That is not Alex Smith. Reid is no slouch when it comes to QBs. Hes a ****ing guru. He sees Alex Smith for what he truly is. and at best that is a stop gap for Geno. |

When Dorsey said they was no clear cut #1 qb thats why he would go after Alex Smith. Plus with Tj Carpenters tweet last night saying the Chiefs are very impressed with Geno. |

People now days. We risk it and it pays off Super bowl bound and this franchise is no longer a laughing stock.
He fails well at least he would still be better than any qb we have currently. So its a win win. |

I honestly believe that there is little to no interest from anyone to trade for Alex Smith. Nobody wanted him as a FA. Why would there be this sudden interest in him? Doesn't make any sense to me
