Well, he may not hate him....but Josh sure did trade a whole lot to draft Tebow to replace him.

That right there should tell you enough about how he feels about Orton as a franchise qb.

Seriously though, if McD is our next coach...I'm going on football hiatus and will start watching baseball a lot more and will even learn the game of hockey.

I won't root for a cheater.

Maybe I'm just an asshole, but if I'm Pioli and I get word that he won't report...I put in a claim FOR SURE. Especially with the Bears left on the schedule.

You guys should be listening to Kevin Harlan and Soren Petro.

Petro thinks they need to sign Orton yesterday because he can help them make the playoffs.

Harlan thinks Orton won't come here because Matt Cassel is the entrenched starter. He didn't come out and say it, but I get the feeling the Chiefs are so sold on Cassel they'd never consider anyone that could potentially unseat him.

He's going to get claimed, regardless whether it's KC or not. So the money that denver is 'saving' is irrelevant, cause it's gonna happen. If he doesn't show up, then KC doesn't have to pay it, either.

If he lets it be know he'll only play for the Bears. No one claims him
the Bears let him slide through waivers for less $$
Orton gets the money Denver owes him & maybe what Chicago pays

Meh, nothing those guys say anymore carries any validity as far as I am concerned. Their take on the Mizzou/SEC thing was totally full of fail.

I can make all sorts of statements about how I won't watch if this or that happens.

However, it is all BS.

Heck, when the Chiefs lost to Miami and Denver, I thought....well at least I won't be on Chiefsplanet as much and I can get work done.

Ooops.

As far as the trade for Tebow..... Orton's last year was this year under his contract. I think that McDaniels thought he would have Tebow ready to start by next year. You don't have to hate a guy to draft a guy you think will be better.

I don't hate Cassel, but if the Chiefs could draft Luck... I am all for it. I am not sold on Barkley. He is a little shorter than I prefer, plus he is a USC QB...and they just haven't fared well in the NFL.

This makes sense. USC typically has superior talent to other teams in their conference. Therefore, it is easier to be successful at USC than other schools.
