If any coach in the NCAA's deserves a National Championship, it's Bill Snyder. Will he get one? Who knows. But he definitely deserves one.

I bet LSU fans are pretty psyched for the Michelin Tires Ticket City Bowl. Is it being played in Cleveland?

Of your three listed circumstances for KSU to win none of them are far fetched at all. I think its hilarious people are saying Alabama won even though Mettenberger had a career night. Oh wow! He had a career night! A career night for him produced 17 points! That just shows how pathetic that offense is that a career night from the QB leads to 17 points. If Klein has a career day against Bama they put up 31 at least. |

What you (and most people) lack is the ability to see how good players are independent of play outcome or quality of opponent. Scouting, basically. You don't see how good LSU's players are. You don't see how good Alabama's players are. I watch (and root for) Kansas State nearly every week. They aren't the same. I would agree that any one of those three circumstances I mentioned wouldn't be far-fetched (the most far-fetched would be Klein having a career-best day; he's such a good player that a career-best day from him is hard to even conceive, it'd be so good). But it is a whole lot more far-fetched that all three would happen on the same night. It can happen, but the odds are not in favor of K-State there. |

Again your comprehension is lacking. Mettenberger had a career night and put up 17 points. Klein is head and shoulders a better qb and it's not even close. Therefore he would put up more points with his career night. This isn't difficult. |

Everyone needs to get off of the "Alabama's defense is the best in the country" bandwagon. They have played exactly one legitimate opponent. An opponent with a horrible offense, and LSU made Bama's defense look weak. If Miles doesn't shit down his leg, Bama's would have lost to the only legitimate competition they have faced all season. I have serious doubts that they are the best team in the country, but I guess until somebody beats them thy can continue to live off of last seasons championship.

So Alabama's game last night is somehow detrimental? Query: what was the final score of the Kansas State game in Norman? 24-19 wasn't it? What about the game where they had to hold off Iowa State, of all teams, late on the road? Does K-State get docked style points for that? Because they didn't win those games pretty? They shouldn't. And neither should Alabama.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say the mark of a championship team is that they win games like that. Somehow they pull it out when they shouldn't. |

I don't think he would necessarily have a career night either. But he would have a good/average night which would be enough to put up 17 points and keep his team in the game. If you acknowledge that those circumstances aren't far fetched I don't see how you can say it would be a three score game. Like I have been saying all along I see a 10 to 14 point victory for Bama with it being basically a one score game until the last 5-10 minutes. Notice how I said a career night against Bama would lead to 31 points for KSU? That is because I acknowledge how good the Bama defense is because as you said a career day for him is hard to conceive. He could play the exact same amazing game against Texas and Bama. Against Bama it would be about 31 points. Against Texas it would be 62 points. |

There's just no question that Alabama is far more talented than KSU, and the former is the clear #1 in the country with a bullet.
That said, I would like to see what Snyder could do against Alabama with so much time to prepare. |
