Yes, it was the very last scene. Actually, the vid you posted looks sort of rough, like it has unfinished makeup and special effects.

No worries KC Fish. As for the second mouth/thing/wtf, it is different than the original Alien. Additionally, it has human teeth. Other than that, idk what the thing is shooting out of its mouth. Second human mouth?

It looked to me like a xenomorph ancestor so to speak. A less evolved version of what we see in the Alien movies.

Or the same, because aliens always look different from what they chestburst from. Predaliens from predators. Maybe that octopus was a giant face hugger? |

I saw Prometheus in the theater, and was thoroughly unimpressed. I decided to pick it up on blue-ray to give it another chance. I even watched Alien from the blue ray quadrology, which I highly recommend.
After watching Promo for a second time, I'm convinced that this is not a prequel to Alien.. and to go one step further, its best to watch this movie not knowing ANYTHING about the original Alien. In original Alien the Jockey thing was straight up attached to the chair, and had a elephant trunk looking bone from its nose/mouth. Not a damn mask/helmet like Prometheus. Not to mention the helmet in promo has eye holes on the side of the helmet.. how can the jockeys see out if there eyes are in the front, not sides. Straight garbage Ridley. |

Finally got around to this on dvd and yeah, totally unimpressed... the effects of course were outstanding, but sadly they were the highlight of the whole affair.
I hated the characters & their dialogue, most of which was horrible... so this trillion dollar corporation just sent up a bunch of slapdicks that didnt know each other & act like a bunch of ****in tourists? they were acting like the people from jurassic park or something, just terrible characters & dialogue, too much of it also seemed like a straight up rehash of Aliens. The scene where they roll out of the ship for the first time, lol, they just take off at 50mph like some kind of race... he really did a shit job of portraying these people as credible scientists & the like. The alien astronauts? wtf? i dont even know where to begin, none of it made any sense at all, nor was it explained, so i wont try to do it either. So yeah its some kind of weaponized crap they made, for what purpose & motive only ridley knows... he also really aped 2001 in several scenes, trying to evoke the same mood with certain shots & music. This movie sucked balls, right up there with gigantomongous & profoundly empty Avatar, all cool effects & nothing else. I was really expecting some kind of deep meaning to it all, cutting edge, thought provoking sci-fi... boy was i in for a surprise, sooo glad i didnt waste $8 plus snacks on this piece of junk. Ridley Scott should be ashamed, probably his worst movie ever. Last edited by Easy 6; 10-10-2012 at 10:40 PM.. |

But potential meanings of the story aside, i still hated the characters, they just didnt have any depth imo... "we're on this far distant planet, about to discover mankinds origins and we're going to act like a bunch of petulant, shallow morons"... it just wasnt what i expected from a carefully chosen group of experts, not to mention the huge ship itself, replete with crystal chandeliers & staterooms that would be the envy of Donald Trumps highrise apartment, maybe 80 years from now a breakthrough making that possible happens, but its hard to fathom. Anyway, i appreciate that article, it really does help. |

Did you see Avatar in real IMAX 3D? Because that was the best amusement park ride of my life.
